Good post ,let me just add this:Its obvious we can move the ball and score against the best defenses the NFL has to offer.
But can we beat teams with top notch offenses? So far the answer has been yes. But its been very VERY close on two occasions (San Diego and Indy). The shootout with Buffalo didnt look good, and neither did the game vs. Detroit until the 4th Qtr.
Come playoff time I think we own the teams with good D's. Pitts, NYJ, Baltimore (we improved so much since our last game with them).
The potential problem teams I see are the Saints, Eagles, Colts, and Chargers (if they make it).
I agree that top offences like NO and SD are a challenge for "Bend but don't break" but I have seen much more than that lately as this young defense matures and lives the " We each are responsibile for all" philosophy. Our youth are becoming great football players. In this system they are challenged physically and intellectually and I can't imagine wanting to play anywhere else in the NFL. The Patriots orginization is like the top graduate school of football. Watching new players like Woodhead pick up and adopt Bill's philosophy and talk to the press like a very seasoned professional makes me aware of the positive growth that permeates this team. Chicago has a potent offense and Cutler can throw 4 touchdowns in a game, yet we disarmed them effectively. Brady quoted Bill and was humble and wise with this; "When you lose say little, when you win say less." Go Pats!
