Now everyone sees Belichick's master plan. He traded away Seymour because he knew that two years later that he would throw an early season game vs. the Patriots this year. Belichick's genius is still at work. There isn't a more forward thinker than Belichick.

Exactly why he sent Pioli to KC to ruin the Chiefs and Josh McD to Denver to ruin the Broncos, and Vinatieri to Indy to ruin Manning's neck.
