Lets all take a moment to remember the time the signed Favre..were delcared division favorites, went 8-3..had high hopes..then once again had it all come crashing down on them.
I hate when people comment on someones spelling, so I won't do it to you, but otherwise you're a moron.
Seriously who gives a F who's FAVORED to win anything?!?!?!? Think about that statement for a second.
See, in Jets Land you guys take enormous pride in things like, being FAVORED to win this or that, or some ESPN idiot saying you guys will be in the SB hunt, or signing NAMES and thinking that means you will automatically win games. You guys do this EVERY YEAR! When will you learn?!? You just end up looking stupid (well more stupid than you already are, which in itself is actually something to be proud of.)
Here on planet earth we like to actually win things before spouting off. You should try it our way for a while, you'll come off a lot less stupid.
I don't think the Jets suck. They were horrible under Mangeena but have improved a lot. Sanchez has made some good throws under pressure in teh playoffs and their defense was at least aggressive and interesting. Many on here were pining for SOMETHING liket that instead of our passive "we'll let you march down the field using short throws..we'll bend and not break but it won't matter b/c you'll get a TD in the end anyway" defense.
I don't like their fans, most of them, or many anyway. These are the same people who root for the dreaded Yankees, a team I think of as pure evil. But maybe that's me. Plus I've heard that they root for Brady being injured, totally uncool.
I wouldn't be surprised if the pats beat them handily both times this year, but I don't think they "suck".
Also upstate NY is beautiful, finger lakes area. I wouldn't mind retiring there if it weren't for the high taxes, etc.
And I don't think Ryan is a bad guy or coach. Overweight, yes, but he's trying to create some buzz around the team. Wake them up a bit.
high taxes in upstate NY? really? i think you may be thinking of long island/ny metro area...
and yes, i root for the yankees. i got into baseball within the past few years and i had to make a tough choice between the mets and yankees... i'm already a jets fans, i just couldn't deal with the mets and more suffering. however, most jets fans are mets fans.
Well thank you for being so kind on my typo. Its true being favored to win the division means absolutely nothing, but at the same time who made it farther in the playoffs last year? And with Kris Jenkins actually playing this season along with the all the Trades and Signings we have done and Sanchez having one year under his belt there is no way you can deny we are a better team than last year. (Yeah cool you've won more super bowls than us I know, but that reign is over) I understand signing free agents doesn't mean that we will win games, but I am pretty sure we won enough games last year to make it to the AFC Championship game.
Ill take a guy who got thrown away by the Steelers because he smokes pot he is a proven great WR. I won't get into Cromartie because I already probably know your opinion, but don't go crying next year when you have no one to pass to because Cromartie, Revis, and Kyle Wilson are all over your receivers. I am not too sure about Jason Taylor myself so you might have me there, but these aren't players like Haynesworth, Antonio Bryant, Reuben Droughns, Derrick Burgess, or Adalius Thomas. These guys aren't coming off of high play during their contract season. Most of them are proven players some of which will one day go into the hall of fame.
What have you guys done to get better this offseason? You had twice as many draft picks as us and you walked away with maybe one starter. O BTW McCourty over Kyle Wilson???
Yeah being a Jets and Mets fan sucks

that post is so far over the top ridiculous that I suspect this "whoever it is" is not really a Jets fan but one of the many nutty trolls who pose as Pats fans, Jet fans, Indy fans, Pittsburgh fans or Giants fans here from time to time.
Totally illogical posts always seem to bespeak an irrational hatred underneath.
The Jets beat the teams that were put in front of them. No excuses. They can't control who the other team places on the field. Yes, they may have gotten a gift to get to 9-7 from the Colts, but they made the most of their opportunity by going 2-1 in the Playoffs. I can't wait 'til the season starts so people stop harping on the "gift" the Jets got.You were 7-7 then were gifted a playoff berth by teams not trying.
Of course there is no certainty, but everything points to the 2010 Jets to being better and more talented than the 2009 Jets.Sure you have made changes, but there is absolutely no certainty that any of them made you better.
Very possible. It'll be interesting to see how they can perform in a new system. Tomlinson will have a much better O-line than he did in SD. Taylor will only be a situational pass rusher. I'd be happy if he can duplicate the 7 sacks he put up last year. We'll see.Tomlinson and Taylor are done.
Sorry, this is laughable. Sheppard was the savior? He got benched in Philly for sucking, and was constantly injured. It was a low-risk move that didn't work out. Cromartie has been an All-Pro in this league. Lito can't sniff Cromartie's jock. Also, as is the case with Tomlinson, Cromartie will be coming into a system tailored to his strengths which is straight up man to man coverage, not the zone in which he struggled in. Also, keep in mind he is motivated as this is a contract year.Last year Sheppard was the savior, this year is Cromartie. Both were run out of town by their former teams, so best guess is you stay about the same there.
Ducasse or Slauson, the second year player from Nebraska, whom Bill Callahan is very high on. Fact is, Faneca is over the hill, and it was time to make a change. He allowed more sacks than any guard in the whole league last year.Who replaces Faneca? A IAA rookie tackle who never played G before? Yeah, that will help the running game.
Holmes should be good, and Sanchez should be improved. Win-win.The only clear upgrade is Holmes and thats an upgrade at WR when you have a QB who couldn't get the ball to the guys you had there.
No. Ellis is far and away the best DE, and there is no one behind him to take his place. Which Taylor are you even talking about? I'll assume you meant Bryan Thomas. He could be gone, but I doubt it.Still to come may be Ellis and Taylor shown the door.
LOL. Okay. Wilson is far and away the better prospect. Belichick whiffed big time on this one. Please tell me how Kyle Wilson is not a complete player?McCourty over Wilson? Yes, we like complete players in NE.

You better hope he does because it seems that he is going to end up being a lot more than a situaitonal pass rusher. Tomlinson is through, thats obvious.Very possible. Cromartie struggled in everything. He made a probowl solely because of ints. hardly a full gauge of cb play. Care to guess how many probowls Sheppard made? Both were unwanted by their former teams, you found out about Sheppard, and will find out about Cromartie too. [/quote]Sorry, this is laughable. Sheppard was the savior? Yup, as soon as he is gone, then he was never any good. I can't believe that your OL coach is high on a player, I guess that clinches it, how could I doubt a player that a coach is high onDucasse or Slauson, the second year player from Nebraska, whom Bill Callahan is very high on. A wild guess. Sanchez is still the same guy who was ranked what, about 30th among starting QBs?Holmes should be good, and Sanchez should be improved. Win-win.

Gotcha. So Bill Belichick scouts both players, watches all of the film, speaks to their coaches, speaks to them, and gets his choice of the 2, but your opinion that Wilson is far and away a better prospect is more accurate? So you can do a better job evaluating the pro potential of collee football players than Bill Belichick? Please explain to me what methods you used to do a better scouting jon than BB.LOL. Okay. Wilson is far and away the better prospect. Belichick whiffed big time on this one. Please tell me how Kyle Wilson is not a complete player?
what's really pathetic is a thread titled "jets suck" has been the #1 thread on a pats fan site for the past 2 days. talk about insecurity.
here it is: pats are teh awesome, jets stink. can we end this now?
