Report: SWAT team converges on home of former Patriots coach - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
Am I the only one who read "Connor Barwin"?
Sadly no. I can't believe I have to wait until MONDAY to watch him play!
Haha I did too.....must be some flashbacks to the 2009 draft and this board
I know it's news, but why do we have to feast on such personal misery.....especially about a FORMER employee of the patriots.....just my take.:bricks:
This could be tragic, I hope all turns out well.
Nobody's feasting on anything. It's significant, breaking news about a former Patriots employee, and it's threadworthy on a Patriots message board as a result.
.....You continue to astound,DI.
He also played for the Pats years ago. Clearly you hope that no one gets hurt here. I hope the house was rented or something and that C Brown isn't directly involved.
I don't know if you'd call this an update, or what, but they've changed "several children and a woman" to "Brown's wife and children ".
I guess you are not alone
Sad to see it is probably Brown is there. I can only hope his family hasn't been harmed and this can be resolved peacefully.
Regardless, I can see FESPN taking this and running with it for a week as way of overshadowing anything else that New England does. FESPN is a pure and unadulterated Patriots hate machine.
I feel dirty and used just having to tune in to that channel when they host a Patriots game live.

I dont know that it makes the story any better if it is some guy who rents from Corwin Brown.
Let us hope that this is all a grave misunderstanding.......
Because I know who C Borwn is and liked him as a player. Of course on an absolute basis it isn't more important. Sorta like M Kraft passing as opposed to someone's mom who no one knows about.
At least one self-inflicted gunshot wound, but he's alive and in the hospital.
Michigan Wolverines | Ex-Wolverine Corwin Brown emerges after police standoff | The Detroit News doesn't have the gunshot wound bit, so it's probably not the best story, but it's one I found quickly.
41 years old. A pity. Especially worrisome after Ted Johnson and so on.
Depending on the slant you want to take, the headline could either be "former Patriots coach" or it could also be "former Jets player and coach".

Or the media could simply change the headline depending on the zip code or IP address of the reader, in order to stir the pot and create more web hits and ad revenue.
