I'm sorry if this thread was an over reaction, but the "Try not to let Tom and the offense run the score up on us" sounded like a little dig. Am I wrong?

I don't think it's a dig at all. It can't be a dig when when you're saying it about the best offense in the NFL and it's a serious possibility.

not a dig at all...he was with the pats in '07 and what they did...my guess is referring to that and how they are scoring like that this year

I bet if he could go back in time..he would go to this exact moment... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHfXdhEjpvU

I miss Randy. Its a shame it soured, but luckily they broke ties before it got really bad. I don't think his comments were a dig at all by the way.

I guess your right. The "so called genius" line threw me off. I always liked Moss, He's just a little hard to figure out sometimes. :bricks:

Randy loves the Patriots but they are the competition now. He has expressed a ton of fondness for his time here, I wouldn't read anything into his comments beyond the true affection he seems to feel.

Edit: Also, RE: the 'so-called genius' statement, if you read it in context he is speaking favorably about Bill Belichick so I think you can chalk that up to grammatical error on Moss' part.

Not every football player is as good a talker as you and me are is.

Same here. Just wow. That one vs the Bengals and both Dolphin ones.

That video also gave me a lot of perspective. Even though they failed to win it all that was a special team and a once in a lifetime season. As a fan it's still magical.

I hope and I think there will be a loud cheer when he comes on the field on Sunday.

No matter how many Johnny come latleys come along, for other teams we will never see anything like Brady to Moss again...ever

Friggin' Awesome. I remember when NE played Oakland, when Moss was a raider. Just seeing him run I was like "why can't ~we~ get a receiver like that?" And the Patriots went and did, just like that :) And that team made some football history.

I still get pumped seeing the go-ahead TD in the super bowl. Sux for the rest of that game though...

Moss loves Brady, there's no way he meant this as an insult.

If it's a dig at all, it's a little joke about people who complain about running up the score. We never ran it up like we did while Randy was here... so of course he's not complaining about it.

More like Reminiscing than anything else...a 16-0 banner hangs in the corner of the stadium commemorating the season that was..or could have been as it may be....Moss will forever be a main part of that historic season....

Pretty cool seeing those TDs again. So many special moments there, the speed Moss had, that thing he does with his arms where they come out of nowhere into all sorts of weird positions to snatch the football. (And kind of funny to hear Collinsworth scolding Moss for getting a penalty on 22/49. That's Collinsworth. OTOH, great to hear Brady at the end of all the 23/50 celebration say in the background "lots more to do guys." Also wonder who got to keep the ball on 23/50 - -I think it was Moss.)

Brady-Moss was amazing while it lasted. Shame about 2008. And sad that the last image of Moss in a Patriots uniform was that MNF game in Miami, when Brady made it clear the team was moving on without him, and that final shot of Moss on the sideline looking out on the field, almost in tears, knowing he effed up a good thing. By all accounts he's a good teammate in SF, and I'm glad to hear that. Guy truly is a football player and he proved that the only person who could stop Randy Moss was Randy Moss.

By the way, some of those TD passes reminded me of Gronk. Just the hand and ball skills and the height. Wouldn't be surprised to see him break the record some day (he still leads the league in TD receptions this year!)

Moss (along with Rodney & Junior) was one of a few guys who I wish played their whole careers with the Pats. Moss was past his prime in 2007, it is frightening to thik what number he would have put up if he were in NE earlier in his career.

The 23 TD video was fun. I agree, what a shame that Moss didn't get it until after he was fired. It was a fun ride, but I'd rather have another Lombardi. Football, more than any other sport, is a team game. Randy got that probably a day too late.

Maybe -- in the video, you see Moss after 50/23 going toward the sideline with the ball and tossing it to someone to hold on to. H of F makes sense.

Depends on what you think his intent is. He never bashed the Patriots so I think it's safe to assume he is still friendly with the team which makes it more of a complement.

I kind of feel sorry for him, you can tell that he is trying so hard not to say anything negative or inflammatory but he just doesn't have the oration skills so he ends up saying things a little wrong, and of course people then pick it apart word for word.

man i watched that video again...his best year ever and brady best ever...just great...still a moss fan even though he screwed up but he never says anything bad about the pats now (besides that post game interview) Great hall of fame player.

Have his authentic jersey and was this close to having him sign it..would have been in a frame right now.....ok ballwashing over....go pats
