2013 needs
Have to believe that Koppen and Waters will retire after this year, so interior line will deserve some attention. McDonald and Connolly are some reassurance, but spending a pick on a nasty OG would be a welcome addition.
Gerard Warren is coming back for another go. But I'm pretty sure if we had spent #48 on Devon Still, Warren would have retired. DT is a spot that needs elite help, especially if we're depending on Brace, Pryor and Deaderick to control the line.
Welker will, I fully expect, sign a long term deal. And Lloyd is promising. After that, we have a lot of very old and very uncertain baggage at WR. A young stud receiver would be a great fit.
Let's see if Vollmer is healthy this year, and how Cannon does in rotation at OT. BB may want to take another lineman to give us negotiating leverage with Vollmer when he comes into Free Agency.
Defensive back is a question mark. BB has made some moves, and some of them could pay off, with Gregory, Dennard, Allen, Wilson and Ebner. Can't be worst than Slater and Edelman. Plus, we've got McCourty coming off a disappointing lockout year where he struggled, and Moore working from a higher base. We've got youth and talent on the roster; let's see if it all comes together. For now, I'll list this as no more than a moderate need.
QB, presumably we lose Hoyer and give the #2 spot to Mallett. Another late pick on QB is pretty reasonable.
RB LB and TE have quality solutions and youth. I want to believe we have the core players that we need to be an elite team. At most, a third TE would be a nice luxury pick.
OG > DT > WR > OT > DB > QB > TE > RB > LB.... so nice to have LB last on our needs list, finally!
