So Slate sucks and a fifth round reach because he isn't as good as two of the greatest pure special team players in NFL history?

Just producing Mayo and Slater in the 2008 draft is a pretty big draft fail (although the 2008 draft class sucked in general), but to say Slater was a bad pick because he isn't Izzo or Tasker is a little overboard.

Was there a DL taken after Brace in that draft that has done more? If so that is who he should be compared to.

The team needed DE/OLB and ILB help, too, so Barwin is absolutely relevant, as is Laurinatius
