I can't imagine our little Tommy yelling anything worse that "gosh" or "gee willikers."

Obviously you have never heard his weekly Monday morning interview on WEEI when they often have to make use of the 10 second delay to blank out a word or two.

I'd advise you not to golf with him then.

Just out of curiousity, what has Rodney done (recently) that earns him such an impressive margin of victory here?

I'm just thrilled that Rodney was once again eligible to compete for the title. :D

i hope he wins the award for years to come! :D

Rodney wins this SI poll *every year*. This poll doesn't specify, but past polls also polled about 360 players, but always included *former* players as well. I suspect this poll does as well. This is key, because former players remember well Rodney's low hit on St. Louis' Trent Green in the 1999 pre-season, definitely not one of Rodney's better moments.

Coincidentally, this hit opened the door for Kurt Warner to shine and an undue amount of attention given to his wife. Heck, for sicking Kurt Warner's wife upon us, I'd vote for Rodney, too!

Regards,
Chris

Rodney probably was one of the one's polled and voted for Brady. Or Troy Brown, or someone like that.

Shouldn't Albert Haynesworth be the league's dirtiest player?

Or Kevin Mawae, The Broncos Offensive line etc...............

Dirty here just means I'm jealous of, works harder than me.

Before Harrison was injured the Pat's would very rarely send him on a blitz because it was so dangerous for the opposing QB. He remains my favorite player for his excellent quotes.

Just imagine his weekly meetings with Bill "#&@*!" Belichick...

Kimo Von Olhoffen anyone?

I never thought of Rodney as dirty either. Just a hard hitting intimidator which you can be without playing dirty. The fact that TB got a vote suggests to me that there is an element of jealosy involved in this vote. Teams hate the Pats because of their success.

As for Haynesworth, he'd probably win now but the vote was taken in preseason. But this is a good example of dirty play. I don't see Rodney doing stuff like but maybe the camera just doesn't catch it. I played football and never would have considered someone dirty just because they knocked the snot out of me. Its the cheat shot artists and guys throwing punches and biting in the pile that are dirty.

Rodney plays the game the way it's supposed to be played. If people have a problem with that, whatever.

The vote was cast in preseason? Now that really goes to show you how stupid the voting is. Rodney did not play most of last season so how could he still be the league's dirtiest player. Just plain stupid.

Great interview in SI though.

i have no idea why people voted rodney as the most dirtiest player..everyone is just heated that rodney be lightin people up..he isn't playiing dirty he is doin his job..for the patriots's sake he is a STRONG SAFETY..and tom brady bein on that list that is plain ******ed..probably because he been sayin some strong words like in the broncos game..on that messed up pass interference call he was on the sideline yelling..W@%%#^#^&

From the liner notes on the poll:

"The only QB to draw a vote was Patriot Tom Brady...."

... Wtf? Tom's dirty?

I think they got confused with that interview were he said he looked at porn on the internet.

Ahhhhhhh, now it all makes sense.

Dirtiest/Most Feared - who cares.

The important thing is that when Rodney is in the backfield, recievers fear for their lives.

I like that!

Anything "dirty" or illegal should be dealt with by the officials if it breaks the rules, and Rodney should be fined and the team penalized, per the rules of the game.

If there's "dirty" plays that are legal, you can't fault Rodney - and you can't fault him for hitting hard either. They can try to change the rules if that's the case but until then, I'm glad they fear him.

Hilarious segment on ESPN SportsCenter about Rodney.

He says that he does it for the kids. All of the fines go to charity so every time he "takes someones head off " he feels good because he knows that there is a kid out here that will benefit.

If someone can YOUTube that segment, it would be well worth it.:rocker:

Rodney is not dirty, but he is a very hard player. At least, his reputation could serve the Pats well. We have Rodney, BB as the best coach, TB as the best QB, Sey as the best def. lineman, we have the best def. line, we have the best RB group:rocker: , the best TE group, the best rookie running back, the rookie WR with the best potential, the rookie kicker with the best potential. Did I leave anyone?
