Here is a good read on Amendola staying ready, which is why I read it to start with, but there is something else here that is eye opening.
It looks like the Colts are going to come in run first.
"The Colts offense still relies mostly on the arm of Andrew Luck, but Indy's running game looks much different from when Ahmad Bradshaw and Trent Richardson were taking the bulk of the carries. Dan "Boom" Herron didn't touch the ball against the Patriots in November, but he's become the team's top back since Bradshaw hit injured reserve. Richardson was a healthy scratch over the weekend of the Broncos, a telltale sign of how he's viewed by the team that dealt for him in exchange for a first-round pick last season. "
They rested Richardson while they played the Broncos, according to this writer. I can't say, as I payed no attention to who Denver used to run and I didn't get to watch the whole game. That being the case, it says a couple of things to me, One, as the writer notes, is that they treasure Richardson and saved him for industrial strength duty against the Pats, and two, they were confident of beating Denver going in. Perhaps they knew more about Manning's health than we did.
Regardless, look for them to try to establish the run early and often. Now very obviously I am thinking of nothing that Bill isn't prepping the Pats for, but it will give us more insight when we watch this contest. This may be a much tougher game for New England than I expected.
