My last attempt to nail New England's first round draft pick. I've included their picks for the second round as well. Evidently, I think the first round will be straightforward with few trades. Reportedly, Philadelphia, Chicago and the Jets are open to trading down if teams inquire about trading back into the first round for a quarterback.
Although Newton to Carolina and Dareus to Denver aren't a lock, I'll stick with those picks. Reportedly, Carolina could decide to go defense and Denver could choose Peterson over Dareus.
My redraft
1. Carolina - Cam Newton
2. Denver - Marcell Dareus
3. Buffalo - Von Miller
4. Cincinnati - AJ Green
5. Arizona - Robert Quinn
6. Cleveland - Patrick Peterson
7. San Francisco - Prince Amukamara
8. Tennessee - Blaine Gabbert
9. Dallas - JJ Watt
10. Washington - Jake Locker
11. Houston - Cameron Jordan
12. Minnesota - Nick Fairley
13. Detroit - Aldon Smith
14. St. Louis - Julio Jones
15. Miami - Mike Pouncey
16. Jacksonville - Ryan Kerrigan
17. New England - Tyron Smith
18. San Diego - Muhammad Wilkerson
19. New York Giants - Anthony Castonzo
20. Tampa Bay - Da'Quan Bowers
21. Kansas City - Corey Liuget
22. Indianapolis - Gabe Carimi
23. Philadelphia - Jimmy Smith
24. New Orleans - Justin Houston
25. Seattle - Andy Dalton
26. Baltimore - Derek Sherrod
27. Atlanta - Kyle Rudolph
28. Cincinnati (from New England) - Christian Ponder
29. Chicago - Nate Solder
30. New York Jets - Phil Taylor
31. Pittsburgh - Danny Watkins
32. Green Bay - Christian Ballard
Note: Cincinnati trades a second round pick (35th) and a first round pick in 2012 in exchange for a first round pick (28th) from New England.
Why Cincinnati does this trade: Buffalo will select ahead of them in the second round (34th). There's speculation that both Cincinnati and Buffalo would've an interest in Ponder. With Dalton gone, Cincinnati made the move...
You can agree or agree to disagree, but it has already been reported that there could be a premium on either the twenty-eighth or thirty-third pick. This is a steep price for Cincinnati to pay but they might think the price could be steeper to acquire Kevin Kolb. Especially, if you consider what he'll want in a contract extension.
