Pre-draft contacts (2011)

FWIW, this is from PFT. I didn't see his name so wanted to post this:
Good deal, I like his running, and he's got decent hands.

Harvard safety Collin Zych says he hasn’t visited with the Patriots

By Christopher Price
Harvard safety Collin Zych is drawing attention from the National Football League, but contrary to a recent report, he says he has not had a pre-draft visit with the Patriots. Zych, who worked out recently at BC Pro Day — an event where the Patriots had four people in attendance — did confirm that he had upcoming visits lined up with the Cowboys and Jaguars, but nothing scheduled with New England.

PFW has Mike Pouncey listed on the private workout - visit list

Yep, BB was at Florida and there's been a lot of speculation about Pouncey, including Pouncey himself talking about being drafted one slot earlier than his brother (who went to Pit at #18).

Translation: Stephen Fusco, OL Brandon Fusco's father, is reporting to Josh Buchanan of JB Scouting (strictly small school draftnik) what is happening with his son's workouts. This would seem to be the third or fourth contact with Fusco, perhaps Scar wasn't the one working him out before.

Currently working on my sleepers list. Fusco's on it, as is Safety Jaiquawn Jarrett.

Mikel LeShoure is a nice talent. However, one of the things I don't like about him, and Ronnie Brown has this same issue, is that he needs space to work with to hit holes. He's not a decisive runner at times and that's an issue.

Bilal Powell is a tough runner IMO. Runs a lot like James Starks of Green Bay.

Currently working on my sleepers list. Fusco's on it, as is Safety Jaiquawn Jarrett.

Jarrett is a good player. Solid fundamentals and he's a bright guy who responds well to coaching. He's not the fastest guy but he puts himself in position to make plays. Eric Hagg of Nebraska is similar too and he comes from a 2 Man scheme that almost functions like Quarters.

So tall he had to be tazered twice by police outside a bar.

So, Twice-Tasered, Tall Terrence Tolliver"? Should we begin referring to him as "T5" for brevity?

Anyway, not bad for a WR, but I think Sheard edges him out for shrugging off tasering and being beaten with stick to "finish the play" by blocking a guy through a glass door. Or so I've heard.

V - Official Pre-Draft visit; visited team facilities/hosted by team in area
PW - Private workout held with prospect
AW - Attended open workout on Campus
C - Position Coach or Coordinator contact
MC - Team has spoken to player or agent or had on-Campus visit; miscellaneous contact
APD - Team official has attended Pro-Day
I - Interviewed at Combine/All-Star game
RI - Rumoured interest

NB: All players in larger font, and Bold, Italic and Underline, have met the "Three Contact Rule". To meet the TCR, a prospect must have three confirmed contacts (RI does not count). The TCR implies that the Patriots are very very interested in them, and there's a very good chance we'll draft them. Don't take it for granted though.

Welcome to the club Brandon! Very excited about him. As you know he's this year's binky.

Not sure what to do about Pouncey, he's on that PFW list but with no explanation why.

Pretty quiet this week other than that.

If we take a RB, I want it to be Todman.

Jordon Todman has been in for a visit.

Still early yet, but the Pats have shown interest in 10 RBs, 4 of whom are official visits -- more than any other position (so far) .

Ingram has been mocked to the Fins at #15 by all those living (and deceased), yet the Pats have shown zero (reported) interest in a player projected to go anywhere from 15 to 28 (their range of picks).

A) the Pats are unwilling to select their RB in round one -- so why bother with Ingram

B) the reports of interest just haven't been made known as yet

C) they're targeting another RB

D) they're targeting Ingram
