It's easy, and only takes a few moments.the debate should be ended, the patriots are more popular than the red sox, the sox vs. yankees in a september pennant race , or ealy sept. game for pats. the results are in 28 to 19 not even close, sorry sox fans your #2 now
ya, its straight up against the yanks in a pennant race, we are in our 2nd game, ive had this argument before, the facts are the facts, and it doesnt matter how many games each teams play, the pats always beat them in the ratingsI would also argue that the Sox got a 19 because the Pats game was a blowout and the Sox were in a tight contest.
Had the Pats game been closer, the ratings would've been even higher.
excuses, excuses, excuses, the facts are the facts go read them and weep, do you watch the pats or sox, the results are in pats win , you can make your excuses all day but the facts speak for themseves, and i ask you the question in head to head battles when was the last time the sox beat the pats??? if this is the baseball town the media leads you to believe they should beat the pats, especially against the dreaded yanks in a heated pennant race in sepember, shiiling vs. clemens and doesnt get better than that sox fans does it???This is not a fair comparison.
The Patriots are in the midst of a dynasty, and the Red Sox play 160 games a year.
I didn't watch the Red Sox because I was at the Patriots game. I didn't goto the red sox game because I've already been to fenway 20 times this season.
If the Pats played the chargers 3 times, and the red sox played the yankees once it still would not be anywhere close to a fair comparison.
You can't even compare a playoff game of the Pats to the Red Sox UNLESS its a game 7 for the red sox and the Patriots were scheduled at the same time(which would be a disaster.) This is the ONLY case where I can see a fair comparison of ratings. It would help if it was a game 7 vs the yankees as well.
have yoy read the paper 3.5 games its over??? you obviously have not followae red sox history in the past with their collapseswell, you have to consider the fact that the AL East is practically over, or at least the sox have a playoff spot locked up. Plus, we've been watching the red sox for all of spring and all of summer, so we've seen them plenty of times. Pats, we have only seen of late. Plus, intrigue into the whole spygate. also, another big factor is the fact that the pats are on NBC and the sox were on ESPN. i still say this is a red sox dominated town. the pats are an extremely close second. but the red sox are something that are talked about and obsessed about year round. the pats are relevant in the end of summer, fall, and into winter. after that, other than the first few days of free agency and the draft, the pats arent too relevant.

Please.
That was Sox/Yanks, Curt Shilling against Roger bleepin' Clemens in mid- September versus the 2nd game of the season for the Pats.
IMHO, that was pretty impressive.
excuses? since when did this become a contest of red sox vs patriots? why would I weep? you seem a bit disillusioned. I'm a red sox and a patriots fan. I like the Patriots/NFL more. I just don't see why this is an emotional contest. I'm just saying your making an unfair comparison and I stand by it. You'll see Brady and LT once a year. You would have seen Clemens 4-5 times if he started the season.
Its obvious this is a red sox vs yankees thing with you. If you want to go down that road...Why don't you provide me with some sources that the yankees get better ratings than the jets or giants. Even if you did pull this off. You would then have to prove to me why anyone would watch an NFL team in New York who will only pull a win out of their ass if they're forced to play each other.
Otherwise learn to stick to the topic.[/QUOTE the facts and ratings speak for themselves, if this makes you feel good, good for you, my point in all this, is this area follows football just as much as baseball, contrary to all the sox crazed media outlets, when the facts are so obviuos to the contrary im pointing it out, why are you so defensive????? accept the facts and stop whining about the number of games, if there was 162 football games the pats would the would still beat them, football is the number 1 sport in the country and these numbers prove it is here,so with your rationale, football isnt number one in the country either because ther is less games???????face reality pal

thanks for not responding anymore, and please go watch the redsox loose another one. you watching all those base ball games , advise, get a hobbyYour posts are like deciphering the Rosetta stone.
Baseball to me is a lesser of a sport for a variety of reasons.
The season is too long.
The games are too long.
The players are out of shape and a pathetic excuse for athletes(obviously not all of them but enough)
There is no punishment for steroids as far as I'm concerned.
There is no parity in baseball.
You seem to think I'm arguing that baseball is a better sport than football. Or that New England cares more about the red sox than the patriots. I'm not.
What I'm arguing is that the fact the Patriots had better ratings on Sunday night was not because no one cares about the Red Sox, or because New England hates baseball. I've watched over a 100 Red Sox games this season, and over a dozen Yankees/Red Sox games. I want to see the Patriots, they don't come around 6 nights a week for an exhausting 162 game season. I'll watch the red sox the other 5 nights of the week and get red sox score updates while I'm at or watching the Patriots game.
This is my last response to you unless your posts start to develop some coherency or attempt to make a well supported argument.
