What the 2015 Fumble Stats Say About Deflategate
Watching Brady-n-crew storm out of the gate to a 10-0 record while leading the league in most major offensive categories was so incredibly gratifying after that disgusting 8 month long BS laden offseason. It was literally the best way for the team to collectively say, "take your deflategate and shove it up your f**king ass"! After watching the pedestrian performance of Brady during the preseason I could just smell the mediots ramping up their "See, Brady can't perform as well with properly inflated balls" diatribe which would have been just unbearable to hear for an entire season. Nothing other than a perfect start with league leading stats would have dispelled the deflategate theory as effectively and yet they did it. That victorious accomplishment may have had more value for preserving the team's legacy than any SB trophy would have although a Lombardi trophy would be a massive cherry on top. If nothing else this season will have legitimized all the past successes or at least prevented the unknown onslaught that would have been if not for that start. Thank God for that.

In any case, the 2015 season makes for an excellent out-of-sample test with respect to New England's fumble tendencies. Although the Patriots have been accused of going crazy lengths to gain a winning edge, it seems safe to assume that any suspect ball routine could not have been a part of the game-day preparation process this season.
