OT: Biggest Masshole town in MA

And? There isn’t a worse town in mass.. those other ones mentioned are pretty much tough blue collar towns. I can relate to that. “Say what you mean, and mean what you say…”
Lots of hard scrabble towns and cities in Mass.

Have not been there in years but cant imagine that Worcester has changed.

The car I’m in getting hit by a shovel from a pissed off construction crew in the North End at 3am is an experience…
Troll for male escorts elsewhere.

U that mad huh? Rent free and I wasn’t even trying. Yikes!

Don’t worry week 5 will be known as Zappy day in NE and when that happens we can all celebrate.

Worcester has dramatically changed in the last 25 years. Lots of Boston investors due to the ballpark so rents are heading higher, riff raff moving west to Springfield and Holyoke. Nice job of the colleges buying up land and developing them.

Rents are skyrocketing everywhere because of inflation.

I used to live in NH. A Masshole there was someone who moved to NH to avoid high taxes but then brought with them the very same expectations of government and politics which caused Mass. taxes to rise in the first place, causing New Hampshirites' taxes to rise as well. Obviously in the present state of the nation, this is now a wider problem. Ask anyone who has had Californians move into their state.
And yet, my son and his wife just moved to LA. From what I heard they replaced my neighbors son and wife who just left. I don't see it as a fair trade.

The funny thing is that my son's been "bragging" that the prices aren't any higher than Boston, which I let him know wasn't a compliment to LA. Houses where he is are starting at a milllion. Luckily they sold their condo in Medford and got a lot more than they paid for it and may be able to swing it.

When I first moved to NH I hired a group of young guys to put up a fence for our dog. When they found out where I was from they jokingly called me a Masshole. I assured them that I'm not but I knew exactly what they meant. I met a few of the Massholes here and they may be changing things here. It makes no sense to me.

Right, but what I'm trying to say is a large percentage of the people in Cambridge aren't from Massachusetts so they wouldn't qualify as "Massholes."

Anyway, you have "holes" in every state, nothing unique about the ones in Mass.
As they say, there's good and bad in everything.

There was a time when I would definitely not want to be in Malden Center after dark. Town is better now than it was, lots of new growth.
You didn't really need to be worried. I happen to have grown up near Malden and spent most of my years there for work and play. I spent so much time there that many people from Malden still think I'm from there. Malden people are as decent as any people can be and I never had a problem with anyone there in a half century. The only people that I had issues with in Malden weren't from Malden. Ironically, some of those people were from my home town

Malden folks are also less likely to act like dopes at youth sporting events, a true indicator of Massholeness. There's no way that a group of Malden adults is going to get in a brawl at a 5th grade basketball game, like they did in a Wakefield vs Everett game a few years ago. I spent many years coaching against them and if they had a parent start acting up at a game everyone else would get on him to stop.

Another good thing about Malden is their law enforcement. They deal with a lot of big city stuff and handle it pretty well. Like many in their field in bigger cities though they can be hardened.

LMAO...love this thread. I haven't been back to Mass since 1992, but I grew up in Hull and I've lived in Quincy, Plymouth, and Wareham. In the 70s and 80s, Quincy had by a mile the most Massholes. Outside of your closest friends, everyone seemed to hate everyone else. Ahh the old days:)

Come on, you gotta get out into Western Mass more!

We're on page 4 and nobody has mentioned Brockvegas yet?

Tough question .... state of Massholes.

Back in the early 90's .... first time in my life seeing a paddy wagon.

As an out-of-towner with family in the state and who has driven many times to, thru, and all around Mass., I'd say all you mother****ers turn into one on the road lmao. The same Masshole who will call me the R-word for not going 95 in the right most lane is the same normal Mass. resident who will be friendly at a local stop haha.

What is a Masshole? First off, it is someone from Massachusetts. Now, let’s be clear here. Just because you’re from Massachusetts doesn’t mean you’re automatically a “Masshole.” We take a lot of pride in becoming “Massholes.” There are several ways to become a “Masshole.” In this post, we will take a look at several of them. And just know, you are NOT technically one until you’ve done at least half of these 19 things.
