So what do u guys we might do with the 2 first rounders

    some options
-save them both and draft 2 first rounders
    -trade for a CB/WR/LB
-move up in the draft to get someone we really want
-trade a first and get more second rounders + player/pick

what do u think we do?

    #24 Jersey

Depends where they are and who's there.

    My top preference, though - hope there's a QB there who a team will trade a 2007 #2 and 2008 #1 for :)

    #17 Jersey

Use the two # 1's and draft Wilfork and Watson, I hear from our scouts that they are special players.

I'd like to move up for a top 10 pick.

I dunno, let's let the team play like 2 games before trading away the pick we got 26 hours ago.

    1) If there is an absolute stud #1 ILB in the top 10, I trade up. Otherwise...

    2) trade one of the #1's for a proven, but young vet LB/DB.

    3) wait til draft day and work the board.

Oh good grief. How many times do we have to find out that what Belichick and Pioli will do depends 100% on how the other teams draft ahead of them. Even the possibility of moving up is still a value judgment on the players left on the board at higher spots versus a possible draft position. You have to think that at times they wouldn't even consider moving up because it looks like there are plenty of players that they put good value on that have high probability of dropping to their position. It's a rarity that they have such a high value on a player (Seymour) that they think it's worth it to give up lower pick value. It's even a rarity that they see a player at low 1 or round 2 that they feel has slipped considerably below what they consider the value (Jackson).

So we know it's highly unlikely that they will make a move but that they obviously are always and continuously evaluating it.

And we also know beyond much reasonable doubt that their primary value rating in round 1 is to use the draft pick on as close to a sure thing as they can figure - and NOT NOT NOT to fill a need, no matter how GREAT that need.

I think the only speculation that has any substance is to consider about how they might be thinking about changing their valuation system for 2nd and 3rd rounders. They have done reasonably well, but my guess is they are not happy with their success rate there.

    See everybody next spring.

Keep them, trading up slightly with the earlier one. Drafting Antoine Cason, and Ted Ginn Jr., then with the second rounder taking Aaron Rouse. (we can get lb's through free agency)

Keep them, moving up as necessary, using other picks.
