The Giants have a dynamic duo at running back, and our weakest area is run defense, especially if directed at our aged inside linebackers and strong safety. This could be a major problem during the SB if we don't jump out to an early lead and force the Giants to pass to catch up.

Strahan and Osi are beasts, and their pass rush is maybe the best in the entire league (while also being stout against the run)

Additionally, I have long thought Eli Manning is a pretty clutch performer, even in his second year he would have a clunker of a game but then in the 4th quarter turn it up and lead his team to victory.

To be honest, I am more scared of the Giants than I was of the Packers. Let's not forget, the G-Men led the Pats by 12 points deep in the 3rd quarter just a month ago.

Let's not forget that the Patriots were missing some guys aswell that affected the offensive packages.

Still, the Gaints are playing very very well. Imagine if they still had runningback Derrick Ward playing. That running game game would be deadly.

I've said it before, but this has all the makings of another game like superbowl 38. I think we're in for a wild one.

I was hoping for the Packers, but that's because they're secondary is suspect.

I'd much prefer the NYG to the Packers, the Giants will have their moments but if we play well on offense they can't outscore us with a strong running game like the Packers maybe could have with a hot passing day.

Re: NY Giants' Running Game Terrifies Me

We did not have 2 starting OL, and were missing our blocking TE. Aslo, they were geeked up for a game to knock us off from ranks of unbeaten. Despite all of that we won.

Relax. This is Brady time. Manning will be eaten up by the media focus. Its one thing to play in CG games, but SB is another level.

2 weeks for BB to prepare also.

Our rush defense is actually quite good.

I think we should be able to take advantage of mismatches in their secondary.

Uh... come again? Al Harris and Charles Woodson versus Sam Madison/Aaron Ross and Corey Webster?

    Does not compute.

Re: NY Giants' Running Game Terrifies Me

 They are overrated, got lit today but they do play press with Harris and Woodson. That would be same as Chargers played us.

Vs. Giants I think we we destroy them as long as our OL is able to pass protect well. Giants secondary is more of a liability

Key will be establishing the run early and then play action.

I don't get how you can say our run D is our biggest weakness, we've done a great job lately at shutting down some great power running teams, the Giants being one of them.

When we faced the Giants in week 17 we held Jacobs to 67 yards, and the Giants had 79 rushing yards total, 13 of those going to Manning.

I should start off by saying I like the Giants. They are my NFC team purely out of convenience since we get all their games. But honestly, I think this rematch is going to be a lot easier than Week 17.

To be honest, you're just ascared. As usual. But that's OK, we're used to it. Lots of scardy cats here these days, must be what crashes the board...

Actually for a 260-pound back, Jacobs isn't as tough a runner as I thought. Bradshaw is a lot more decisive and can be a key player in the game.

This game is going to be a laugher. Seriously. The Gmen pleyed us tough last time, but they were loose and had nothing to lose, were playing at home, and we were playing without a couple key offensive linemen. I mean, honestly, from a pure talent standpoint the Giants do not impress me at all. They do not have what the Chargers had today in Cromartie, Merriman, Phillips, Castillo, and Williams. They do not have anyone on offense that can take over a game. Sure, Plexico and Jacobs are good, but we have faced plenty of better offenses. I am not worried at all. The Giants defense will be so tired by the 2nd half covering our 5 wide sets that it won't even be a game. The Pats will roll these guys.

the jags have a dynamic duo at running back, and our defense actually handled them remarkably well.

dynamic duo? pfft. they are good but not anywhere near dynamic. they have a 190 pound RB who runs tougher than a 260 pound starter :\

if we shut down Chargers run and Jacksonville..the only worry is Plaxico and then the pass rush. thats it

Oh yeah, the Giants running backs. Well Jacksonville lead the league in rushing and they got less than 70 yards the entire game. Pats wont take the Giants lightly as they did last time.

Manning has felt no pressure since week 17. That is likely to change with the Superbowl where people will start saying Giants have a great chance. In week 17 Giants were shut down midway through 3rd qtr.. one would think that would help in a rematch so soon.

Keep in mind Mike Martz was preparing that team vs. BB then and now for the Pats.
