Rex had 8 defenders covering, and all covered very well. Danny had success as a slot receiver. Otherwise, we had little success.

We can't depend on just Butler and Ryan at corner, and miracle plays by McCourty.

Coleman was playing well before he busted his hand and couldn't press vs. the Giants.

T. Wilson looked good last night.

Chung has been superb vs. TEs but expecting a SS to play CB is dumb.

Melvin sucks, sub-JAG level.

---------------------------------------

Wilson CB3 until Coleman is good to go. Having one of the best CB duos and secondary in the league helps nullify this problem.

Do you think a street free agent CB is better in coverage than our safeties?

The miracle play McCourty made was needed because of Freeney not our lack of CB depth.

Thought Tavon Wilson filled in nicely, the bravado of Rex about how great Tyron supposedly is.. was all bullshyt, he was on the big stage and did not do so well.

Rex last week was talking about how the world would see how great Tyron is...

They stop being miracle plays when a guy consistently makes them. McCourty has displayed that kind of range for a while now. How about we call it "Elite FS Play" instead of "Miracle Play".

Everything else though, I agree. It works against certain matchups, because Chung has improved his coverage skills tremendously, but our outside corner depth is non-existent.

McCourty's play was one of the best of the year.

Funny how good McCourty's ball skills are when he is at safety and how mediocre they are when playing CB. He just doesn't like playing coverage in trail position.

@MikeReiss: Bill Belichick on Tavon Wilson: "Had opportunity to play more and did a good job with it. Corner-type [responsibilities]."

Might as well keep Tavon as the nickel back, unless Richards can do some of that too. On a side note, I'm very disappointed with Melvin, thought he would be a solid role player for us. Lets hope Coleman is back soon.

Watching the game last night Collins was the one I felt we were missing. He rushes the passer well and tackles the run well too, but the place he stands out is his size and athleticism in coverage. Man is a beast out there.

I thought Wilson and Chung both showed up in coverage, but we need more than what Chung has to offer. The tv screen had Wilson looking pretty good.

I really hope Coleman has a good chance of coming back. What concerns me is that he seems to have reinjured the same arm while playing. Not knowing anything, but a reinjuring could extend the time to recover.

Of the people currently on the roster I am most hopeful for Vereen and Wilson. My secondary hope is that Bill is going to unleash the 4 safety, 2 corner, 2 line backer, 3 lineman defensive formation.

You really are insufferable.
