Per the attached article by Charles Robinson here are some players that should be traded:

Randy Moss from Oakland to Baltimore. Baltimore needs the WR help and Moss wants out of Oakland. “Of course, it's all meaningless unless the Ravens have the guts to take a leap, and the Raiders are willing to pick up the phone. History says that just because a trade makes sense doesn't mean it will happen. But of all the ones that seem to fit, this one deserves a shot.â€

Brett Favre from Green Bay to Kansas City
Matt Schaub from Atlanta to Oakland
    Chris Brown Tennessee to Seattle
Michael Turner San Diego to Houston
“The price tag? Few teams are willing to trade a first-round pick for running backs these days, and this probably isn't an exception. It would likely take a package of picks, including a second rounder.â€
Jerry Porter from Oakland to Minnesota

I feel he is a moron for suggesting most of these. No player in football gets traded mid-season to be productive for that season. Not happening. Unless the offense or defense he is going to is extremely similar to the one he left. With all the different terminology and systems it is too much to ask for a player to pick it up in a week or two. A player can be in a situational role but not the QB, or the lead RB

If I was Houston – hell if I was the Pats – I would trade a #2 for Mike Turner right now. The guy looks to be – at worst – a Rudi Johnson like workhorse.

Here are guys that should be traded and why
RB Mike Pittman – Tampa Bay: Tampa is 0-4 and going nowhere. Cadillac is the future at RB. Pittman is a big back (6’0†225 lbs) who has great hands (2 season with 70+ receptions). He also returns kick-offs. A team like Philly that is in to win this year and needs a big back to go along with Westbrook could use him. Playbook would need to be smaller for him (few dives and some pass plays) but he would add value.

DE Simeon Rice – Tampa Bay: Again TB stinks, the D is getting older and Rice could help out a team as a situational pass rusher to start and maybe work into a bigger role.

RB TJ Duckett – Any team looking for a goal line back should be calling Washington and asking if they will take a 4th rounder for a guy that is never on the active roster.

DL – Miami – Any team looking for some D-line help should call the 1-4 Dolphins. Between DEs David Bowens, Kevin Carter, Vonnie Holliday DE and DTs Keith Traylor, Dan Wilkinson, Jeff Zgonina there are a few older players that could be plugged into a DL rotation on a team looking to make a play-off run.

    #12 Jersey

I kinda like Adam Schefter's "Deal or no deal" article more

    http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/9721387

Unfortunately, as Schefter suggests, it's a trade that never will be.

No way a guy who has less than 120 career carries brings a #2 in return especially when I believe he is a FA after this season.

Also - no way the Chargers would deal him anyway. They consider themselves a SB team and there is no draft pick that is going to make them deal away the insurance Turner gives them behind LT.

He is a restricted free agent. A 2nd round is not a sure thing.

Here is the second round for 2003.
    2 1 33 Eric Steinbach Bengals G Iowa
2 34 Boss Bailey Lions LB Georgia
    3 35 Charles Tillman Bears DB Louisiana-Lafayette
4 36 Eugene Wilson Patriots DB Illinois
    5 37 Jonathan Stinchcomb Saints T Georgia
    6 38 Al Johnson Cowboys C Wisconsin
    7 39 Rashean Mathis Jaguars DB Bethune-Cookman
    8 40 E.J. Henderson Vikings LB Maryland
9 41 Ben Joppru Texans TE Michigan
10 42 Ken Hamlin Seahawks DB Arkansas
11 43 Pisa Tinoisamoa Rams LB Hawaii
12 44 Taylor Jacobs Redskins WR Florida
13 45 Bethel Johnson Patriots WR Texas A&M
14 46 Drayton Florence Chargers DB Tuskegee
15 47 Kawika Mitchell Chiefs LB South Florida
16 48 Chris Kelsay Bills DE Nebraska
17 49 Eddie Moore Dolphins LB Tennessee
    18 50 Bruce Nelson Panthers C Iowa
19 51 Terry Pierce Broncos LB Kansas State
20 52 Chaun Thompson Browns LB West Texas A&M
21 53 Victor Hobson Jets LB Michigan
22 54 Anquan Boldin Cardinals WR Florida State
23 55 Bryan Scott Falcons DB Penn State
24 56 Osi Umenyiora Giants DE Troy State
25 57 Anthony Adams 49ers DT Penn State
26 58 Michael Doss Colts DB Ohio State
27 59 Alonzo Jackson Steelers DE Florida State
28 60 Tyrone Calico Titans WR Middle Tennessee State
    29 61 L.J. Smith Eagles TE Rutgers
30 62 Terrance Kiel Chargers DB Texas A&M
31 63 Teyo Johnson Raiders WR Stanford
32 64 Dewayne White Buccaneers DE Louisville

How many of those guys have been good NFL player? I’d say Steinbach, Tillman, Wilson, Mathis, Hamlin,
Tinoisamoa, Boldin, Umenyiora, and L.J. Smith. That 9 out of 32. I’d give up a #2 for a guy that has shown he can play over a chance that I could get the next Portis or the next JR Redman

hmmmm. You really can't make that conclusion based on data from 1 draft year. Why pick 2003? Because it supports your point. But other than Bethel, Beoli has been pretty spot on in the second round (missing out on Boldin was criminal though).

The Skins dealt a 3rd round pick and a potential 1st round pick swap with Denver for Duckett - if the Skins finish with a worse record than Denver, then Denver gets their 1st rounder - all this for Duckett, who doesn't even get on the field right now, because he's behind Portis and Betts - it was a real headscratcher - but the word in DC is that the Skins don't care about draft picks...
