First: it was a GREAT game.

Next: the officiating was GREAT

Now: Holmgren did not snub Cowher

I have a feeling the NFL is losing its credibility with each pronouncement.

What is so troubling is that the NFL treat the fans as some stupid buffoons who cannot think or decide for themselves.

I thought it might have been better if the NFL just came out and admit that it was a crappy game and that the officiating was one-sided.

I thought that by admitting what is obvious to everyone, the NFL can recover some of its integrity.

Instead, they tried to cover up and came up with some stupid statements.

Next the NFL will be saying that they invented the telephone, the automobile, the transistor and the Internet. They can even dig up Nikita Kruschev to be spokesman. :blahblah:

yes...we believe so...
all was perfect...

the best Super Bowl ever...

the best ever team in the Nfl won it with merit...

the best crew was on the field...

the best ever qb in Nfl History with the best possible rating won it...

the best team won without committing penalties...

what a joke their rivals: Seahawks...

a great victory (surely every NFL fan will remember like a great one...)...

no sarcasm of course...

I'm sure the NFL hopes eventually everyone will forget about it and move on.

I don't know if that will happen. I mean, many people have moved on by now, but I do think the quality of officiating is going to remain front and center for some reason.

And the fact that this was a lousy SB will mean that people may forget about the controversy but in the process they will also forget about the game. It was that dull.

If I were Holmgren I would have snubbed Cowher at the very least. If I looked across the field and saw another coach running up and down and jumping in celebration with 3:30 left in the game, I would have been pissed.

What was the final report, that they caught up with each other in the shower? :nono:
