My Thoughts on Pats/Colts

IMO, the challenge for the Pat's D will be stopping the run and handling the return of Harrison. Addai has been a beast and AD has been quiet since taking a helmet to the ankle in the Cleveland game. Many thought Bruschi had lost a step, but he has been the most consistent tackler in the last three games on the inside. With the return of Harrison, Peyton is going to put up some points.
On Offense, some game planning is going to have to take Sanders into account. Welker may play a reduced role in favor of Washington in the slot to block, esp. on running plays. Maroney has to put up some numbers this week on the outside, we had no answer for Sanders between the tackles in recent matches. Moss will be doubled, Stallworth and Faulk may have their best games.

Other than last year when NE had no receivers worth a damn, when did Sanders give NE trouble?

I hear what you are are saying, but just having Moss and Stallworth on the field goes a long way towards minimizing Sanders. Why would you ever take one of your best WRs off the field for a guy who just blocks? Wouldn't that tip Sanders off and make him even more dangerous?

What a bunch of baloney. In the last regular season game, the Patriots rushed for 148 yards on 33 carries for a 4.5 yard average. The problem with the Patriots offense in that game were the stiffs at wide receiver: Doug Gabriel, Reche Caldwell, and over-the-hill Troy Brown.
