Are we seriously disputing whether these two had a sexual relationship?

There was no doubt about that after Randy's press conference yesterday. Come on. Please.

You think "consensual horseplay" might not mean sex? Like what? They were playing one on one basketball or twister? Nobody says "consensual horseplay" to mean something that is not sex. Otherwise they'd just say "horseplay."

There's never any reason to say "consensual" unless you're talking about sex. Forcing someone to go bowling with you is not a big deal.

I don't care about his love life.

This is a completely asinine post. Of course opposite sex friends can have "horseplay". And the "consensual" part of it is justifying Randy's case that any injuries that came about because of it were purely accidental. Randy did not force her to do anything against her wishes.

Please. Give me a break.

Randy is part of our family, our Patriot family and we're tight. I DON'T GIVE A CRAP WHAT HE DOES, he's a family member and we support him no matter what.

#81 is going to literally explode on Sunday, Marlin McCree, take cover my friend.............................

And, I might add, that over on the Planet Randy's kids' grandfather is a poster. He said [paraphrasing] (A) Randy has told his family his side of the story, (B) they are as shocked as he is by what's going on, and (C) they don't think he's in the wrong here.
If you have a link to that could you put it here ? I would look but PP is so busy it's almost impossible to find anything.

Regardless - whatever - if he had beat the crap out of some woman then it would be tough to root for him but whether I approve of his personnel life or not, this is basically a shoulder shrug for me.

SHEESH! What ever happened to just plain ol' Sport F88kin?:singing:

you don't think there's a difference between consensual horseplay and non consensual horseplay between men and women ?

BrianPat, I agree with every point you've made! Patsfans.com members have shown a love of gossip I never knew existed. Personally, I've never, ever had any interest in gossip, gossip magazines, celebrity shows or reality TV. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that those of us who enjoy these things have probably enjoyed engaging in the Moss gossip as well.

I could not believe some of our members took it upon themselves to make phone calls at 1am to do their own "Investigating". They were the epitomy of gossip mongers.

Your argument has been foolish. IF Disco's assumptions are correct (wife and kids), this would be an issue. In any court case, credibility is at the heart of testimony, and cheating on a wife is not a positive 'credibility' point.

You're serious, aren't you. You think a lawyer comes out to say "consensual horseplay" and is not talking about sex?

Ok.

Why? He wouldn't go to your funeral tomorrow if you were to die, just like he wouldn't go to mine or anyone else's here. Despite the fact I personally think Moss probably didn't do anything wrong and is the victim of a money trap (because he was a little too much for her to handle, if you get my drift), if he was guilty I could care less (though, as it should be, I will presume him innocent until guilt is proven). As long as it doesn't screw up his ability to play football.

Unlike most of you, I recognize that football players aren't saints, and Randy Moss definitely isn't, even if his so-called checkered past is a little overblown. As long as they play well on the field and don't murder anyone (Leonard Little, Ray Lewis... I'm looking at you), they can blow coke off stripper's butts every night for 5 hours for all I care.

OT, but just thinking...

Isn't it funny how every detail of Brady's lovelife is headline material, while here we are at the AFCG and nobody even knows whether Randy Moss is married?

I guess the moral for professional athletes who genuinely want privacy is: date women who aren't famous.

Actually, the comparative Moss/Brady scenarios right now would argue the opposite.

Me responding to you and you responding in kind is called debate. My opinion vs. yours...and it appears more agree with mine than yours. Everyone else is telling you the same thing, but you still aren't listening.

Grow up.

What opinion? Your opinion is that cheating on your girlfriend/wife is no big deal, mine is that it is. Anyone who would agree with you is being ridiculous.

Those are the only opinions right now. Also I'm not saying Randy did anything, merely commenting on the topic title and the follow up post of "Guess they were to friendly...".

I've seen no one agree with your opinion of "Cheating is no big deal".

Ok.

Sexual battery is almost rape, and the "victim" didn't make those allegations.

Thanks, it's just too much ! I'm much more interested in what people think about the Chargers Defense/Offense

So what are you doing in this thread?

Reminds me of those Puritanical Southern Religious leaders who "investigate" ;) porn so they can better understand it in order to condemn it.

I think there is a huge difference between consensual horseplay and nonconsensual horseplay.

I believe that when a lawyer says "consensual horseplay" he is so clearly talking about sex that it is laughable to think it might not be.

The only reason to say "consensual" is to remove any doubt that it was a sexual battery.

Washington alleges a long-term sexual relationship in the affidavit that was on line. Randy did not deny that part of it yesterday. In fact, his press conference left me with absolutely no doubt that there was a sexual relationship.

The lawyer's statement today removes any doubt that might have existed.

All that said, I don't give a flying F who he is sleeping with and am not sure why anyone would.

Ok.

The fact that the only time we hear the word "consensual" is in the phrase "consensual sex" seems to be confusing you.

There is nothing sexual in nature about the word consensual.

I'm trying really hard to say this without pointing how unbelievably stupid your position is, but I seem to be failing at that.

What are you talking about?

I've never suggested there was a sexual battery. I've suggested only that they were having sex.

Actually, it seems that people are agreeing with the contention that your approval doesn't mean a thing. In fact, even mentioning that you don't approve of Moss's maybe-infidelity is thoroughly pretentious.

What is it you believe they were doing? Playing twister? Basketball?

He went to see her in Florida for a nice game of consensual tiddlywinks?

Exactly. A person who clearly wants to bring charges against Moss doesn't leverage the fact that the injuries occured during sex? How does that make any sense?

Have you ever had any female friends? Clearly the answer is no.
