If you look back into the past for the patriots they might be opening a can of worms. They should look at all teams tapes. Is it not commonly known that all teams did this. The Roger Goodell football dictatorship may be trying to ruin football.

Why was there no appeal? Why is Kraft not fighting this? This is BS! Goodell is just the lynch man for Polian. The comp. comm wants to find any trade secrets. They want to distract us from game planning. They want him out of the league. If Belichick thought he didn't do anything wrong, then Kraft should have had his back and appealed from the beginning. I can definitely see a rift between Belichick and Kraft over this. This is BS!! All the teams should be monitored.

Man,

I turned off ESPN after listebning to those sactimonious @ssclowns go on about not being punished enough. Tom Jackson talking about integrity? Don't make me laugh. The man has an agenda against BB anyway.

I'm done with watching pre-game shows after this. these b@stards are like sharks at a feeding frenzy. The problem is, there isn't any blood in the water except for the false allegations and innuendo they themselves are tossing about.

I'd like to see the fans let these folks know exactly what they think about them.

As for the Commish... he might want to remember what happened to the last King that New Englanders had to deal with. Ol' King George the turd got his @ss kicked six-ways from friday by the Patriots back then. I'd like to offer him a new suit of clothes, made from a liberal application of warm tar and chicken feathers, then see him run out of the stadium on a rail... all shown live on the jumbotron.

Kraft has access to some excellent lawyers and I think it's time he placed some calls to them about an out-of-control comissioner and also about the local press. The constant allegations of "cheating" have gone to the extent of being libelous and interfering with his business. Time to pass along some heavy fines to the MSM types who don't know when to STF up and let it go.

This is getting beyond ridiculous. Bob Kraft needs to shut this down now. I would get my lawyers involved. This was over, now WTF is this. Are we to be penalized for the past too? Why is no one standing up for our team? It's time to fight back.

I can only guess that if it's the case that BB put together a coaching bible based on this information, Goodell feels we shouldn't profit from the information anymore because it was acquired by illegal videotape. What I'm wondering is if it was acquired by binoculars and handwritten notes whether it would be the same.

The scope of the request reads exactly like a discovery request. Goodell is a lawyer, this is unsurprising.

My question now becomes when does this end. Does it end after this? It didn't end after the penalty. What's he going to do with this stuff?

I suspect they'll play ball, no need to act guilty. Give them what they want, which is only the material related to taping coach's signals. In other words, if Bill is telling the truth about the reason he was taping, this will only prove it.

Of course, I think Goodell needs to sign a non-disclosure agreement, so we can sue the NFL if they leak anything. I suspect a non disclosure agreement might slow the process down, how can Goodell be sure nothing about the Pats techniques slips out, if it does, big money for the Pats, $750,000 would be pocket change

Goodell is not a lawyer. He went straight from college to work for the Jets as a publicity man. Then he went to the league office and has been ballwashing and making coffee ever since.

This can only be a hunt to find out if any info obtained was used in-game.

Anything short of that, nothing can be done. Binoculars, notes, put on computer...fine.

If somehow they match up any evidence that film contributed to something in a 2nd half of a game, you have never sent eh kind of punishment that we'll see in that case.

BB would be d.o.n.e...done in this league.

If BB was truthful that info was never used in the game being played that day there's nothing to worry about.

One thing to note - this is not a PUBLIC statement. This is what Mort has learned from sources aka Bill Polian etc. what Goodell has told in private. The amount of clout Kraft has...I doubt he will agree to this.
