I hope this turns out well for him; he just finished chemo this week.

Some people just dont lose weight easily, just like some people can be rather thin despite eating like Adam Richman.

I have been behind the idea of him NOT being an automatic PUP, as many have assumed the whole time.

Looking at his specific situation in regards to chemo, his ailment etc, there is not any huge reason why he couldn't be ready for the opening day roster--however, if he weren't ready to go, everyone would obviously understand due to his situation.

I have expected him to be at least 50-50 the whole time as far as being on the opening day roster, and I am ecstatic to hear that he is doing so well, not just from a 'football' standpoint of course, from a more 'humanistic' side too.

This guy could be the steal of the draft.

The Bears wanted him in the 1st round but backed off after the cancer rumors came out.

I've been saying from DAY ONE that this kid will be on our Opening Day Roster.

And I'll be surprised if he isn't starting by about mid season.

If Cannon pans out and plays at a level that BB/Dante think he can..the OL will be just about set for the next 4-5 years...now sign Logan !

Sign Logan and draft the next Center next year, keep 'em healthy, develop the backups, and you are right.

This is as good a response to chemo as I've ever heard of. Really remarkable.

Anybody know anything of his body type? That's a lot of weight, even for a pro lineman.

I believe Mark Herzlich of BC had the same cancer and treatments.....he responded well and although undrafted, will probably sign with some club as soon as FA begins...

Love that guys motor and intensity....:rocker:

Takes more than chemo to make a huge OL lose his appetite. :D

I'm guessing inactivity, which is not so good, but we'll hope for te best.

Actually, Herzlich had Ewing's sarcoma, as opposed to Cannon, who had non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

While I like OTG's response, there's also this video of his combine workout.

Cannon practicing and having a good TC would be HUGE (no pun intended) for the OL.....have to see how fast he learns the playbook....

With 2 youngsters at RB and a couple new pieces in the OL, this year's Patriot team will be fun to watch on offense......

Let's hope that Dowling has somewhat of an impact in the DB...and Bodden returns near 100%...

Get that CBA ironed out !!!!!!!!!!!
