Player Signing Josh Uche back on 1 year deal

Wow i thought he would get a better deal
Good signing

Let's see if he can have a bounce back year with Judon returning and Mayo letting him loose from day 1. Jennings may not return as the Pats may envision White as the new early down guy. Too many guys vulturing will put Uche in the same position he was his first few years in the league and last year.

He got a million bucks per sack. That’s about as good as he could do.. He’s just hanging around hoping to win MassMillions or for Judon coming back so he can get some easy sacks and get a better FA deal next year…

NGL, I'm not surprised at this being his deal. I am however very surprised that he took it this quickly

I still want a young blue-chip free-agent defensive lineman. This is the year to get one.

I mean. I wanted them to clean shop. But if you must re-sign your own, I think they’ve chosen to retain the correct pieces. And they look to be moving on from the players I thought needed to go elsewhere. So, that.

If you're going to run it back with one of the three units (offense, defense, or special teams), defense is the one to choose.

And by gosh, that's why you're a better person than most of the rest of us. You take the time to consider there are players that need to go elsewhere. Most of us are richards that just want them to gtfo of here

Uche still had a good pass rush win rate last year - same as the year before. You can't always equate sack total with pass rush productivity. Uche still was effective as a pass rusher last year, it just didn't translate to actual sacks. But felt like he was generating good pressure and doing his job last year. And at $3M with incentives, that's a fair rate for a good pass rush specialist. Hard to argue against this one IMO.

This is a great signing. He DOES have an $8MM ceiling on his deal. Here's a novel idea. We need MORE contracts like this. We will play you a LOT of money to play here, and you can almost triple that $3MM if you play well. How about that for an idea. We pay of CURRENT production, not past.

I know its a dangerous and physical game, and most careers aren't long, BUT, (this is my "get off my lawn moment") Is it so crazy to want to see your team's players actually EARN the money. I wonder what the percentage of FA signings wind up with the owner thinking, "I got what I paid for". There will be over 100 FA's signed this off season. I wonder how many will the owners, coaches, and fans thin they got their money's worth. 50%.....I think less.

If you're a ***** about a deal this cheap, watch a different sport.

they were not kidding about burning money.

A bunch of 1 year deals just throwing money away on a gap year.
Your post makes zero sense.
