Bill made the best decision according to his judgement given the information he had at the moment. Life is full of imperfect decision with incomplete information. I understand you are 100% confident that his decision is 100% correct all the time. In your eyes that he does not ever make any errors and will never have any regrets.
Once you put that way, life is easy. Just sit back and Marvel at the master working on his craft. Although Bill, as scientific as he is, may not appreciate this kind of blind faith. Just like many star chasers finally get to meet their hero, and get treated like dirt. You will be dirt to him.
Peace.
Just to make sure you know the meaning of the phrases you are using, "blind faith" is "belief without true understanding, perception, or discrimination." If you are claiming to be enlightened and capable of watching one game with Greg Lewis in which he makes one good catch, and three games with Galloway in which both he and Brady are both not at their best, and come to some cosmic revelation, then good for you, Jedi Master. You are at one with the universe. Most would say this offense is still trying to find itself, and it is too early to tell. Better still considering that catch is probably the high point of Lewis' career.
As for hero worship, it sounds like Belichick kicked your puppy. I don't claim to know him personally, worship him, or want to spend alone time with him in a remote cabin so we can compare notes, nor do I claim he is infallible. What I do claim is you have years of performance data from other teams and other systems for both Lewis and Galloway and current performance data on both Lewis and Galloway on the practice field and preseason with the Pats. You also have Belichick's knowledge and ability to interpret that data from over 30 years of coaching and proven results from 5 Super Bowl winning seasons and 7 Super Bowl appearances.
Or you can ignore that data and history, characterize the conclusion as blind faith, and base the conclusion on one catch by an NFL receiver, any one of whom by virtue of making the cut in the NFL could have such a moment. See David Tyree and his 54 receptions over 5 years if you are still boggling over that point. Maybe you can remember that name as a genuine fan. Not the way I would go, and not entirely logical, but feel free to go with your universal wisdom. Hey, I believe Tyree is available. That catch was huge. Let's cut Galloway and sign him to the Pats and he can help this team win the big game.
Peace, I'm out.
