It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If he's still on the board at #23 and the top OLB/DE and Maualuga are off the Board I would be happy with us drafting him. I hope his speed isnt a concern because I still think he could be a lock-down corner. If not than FS it is and we move Merriweather to SS
Yeah, I was confused when I first read this today. But would welcome him with open arms if somehow he were still available. But then again, I'd wonder why he was still available, and be somewhat leery
The reason Ty Law fell to the Pats at the end or Round one, was also "shakey speed", FWIW.

I would be very happy if we got Jenkins. He reminds me a lot of Antrel Rolle in that he is versatile. If the Cardinals ran a defense like ours, Rolle might be a corner still.
I wouldn't touch Davis with your pole, the talent is there, but I don't trust what's between his ears. What is the consensus here if Vontae Davis is available at 23? He very well may be, as he may have been overlooked a little at Illinois. I know he and Jenkins weren't too far apart at one point, some considered them 1-2 in the Big Ten. There are a lot of good corners, and I wouldn't be surprised if we grabbed one--maybe 2a or 2b. I absolutely love DJ Moore too, as he's been discussed to the fullest
I know we improved the position thru free agency, but I feel there's a good chance Hobbs will be gone for bigger money next yr. I know we have some depth now but there are still question marks with the other guys. I know some would disagree, but I am expecting a CB somewhere in the first 4 picks. Just too many good ones this yr, and we still need a #1 or maybe even #2 (depending on what happens with Springs, Bodden, and the sophomores) to go into the future with. At least it will vastly improve depth and competition. Just don't see anyway we give Ellis what he'll desire, or more realistically, what some other teams would give him. I estimate that to be somewhere in the 7-8 million dollar range per yr.
(FWIW--I'd pass on V.Davis at 23 but take him at 34)

I agree. Plus he's inconsistent, not something BB likes in a 1st round player.
