Izzo signs with the...Jets!

He's a roid head - and washed up now that he's not with the Patriots. ;)

This guy gets it.

Someday... when Larry hangs up the booger green.... I will be more than happy to remember him fondly (again). :)

I'm fine with us not signing Izzo. However, I am not comfortable with our STer's. We have lost two of our top STer's in Izzo and Washington. Also, I would suspect that one or more of the following leaders in ST tackles might not make the team: Redd, Richardson and Ventrone.

I know that we've added Banta-Cain and Lewis, but I am not yet comfortable with our Sters.

Leaders Woods, Slater, Guyton and Aiken remain.

He always played hard and was productive. Until recently he stayed out of trouble. Can't ask for much more.

I just hate to see him go to the Jesters although I am very comfortable in our ST'ers without him.

FWIW, Washington still hasn't signed anywhere. . . .

I can't remember him making one single tackle on special teams this past season.... but then again I can't remember what I had for breakfast.

Re: Izzo

Dead to me, he is. I mean, the friggin' Jets? Sure, he's done tons of great things for this team, and for that I am grateful, but... the damn dog-ass Jets? Please.

Dude, do not be rough on him. JAGs have to be content being JAGs. Get paid where you can. Good luck Izzo.

Another long time pat...gone.

He's not dead.
This is what happen to ageing warriors, It's not like he has made enough money to retire from ever working again. I am not saying he is poor.

He made his bones with Westhoff, I see Westhoff as being appeased with this signing by Ryan.

No problem here. I was saying last year that i'd be ok with losing him. He played good for us, and now its time to move on. Good luck to ya Izzo ;)

He's done a lot for the Pats. As PJ pointed out, one of the last pieces from the 2001 team.

If only he wasn't going to the Jests, tho. So, I can only say "thank you for all you did" and wish him well personally, but not on the field. May he play so poorly for Woody that he is released at the end of the season.

You're right.

This is a far worse fate.

:D

(Thanks for the softball)

Re: Izzo

Good luck, Larry. (I have a friend -- not a football fan -- who knows Larry Izzo and he has nothing but good to say about him. I'm not sure what he's done to deserve being a Jester, but I wish him luck anyway.)

All kidding aside, I wish the best for Izzo. He was a strong ST contributor and a stand up guy who supported the troops in deeds and other causes.
