Never quite heard of him either..I think Breer is throwing ideas against a wall and seeing what sticks...Jolly only had 1 sack and not overwhelming tackles last season for the Pack
I think we could do better in the draft in the second for a DE than giving up our second pick for this guy.

Saw a couple of you tube videos on this guy mainly as the one linked below...not too bad for one great play but of course this is like showing scene previews of a movie where you actually go to see it and find out that these previews you saw were the ONLY good parts of that movie.

Corrected the thread title. Teams do not offer tenders to RFAs on other teams. They extend offer sheets, and if that offer sheet isn't matched by the old team, the new team gives up the compensation as per the tender the old team made.

I wouldn't trade any draft picks right now unless it was for an amazing deal.

He was on my draft board coming out of college. One wonders now if NE had inklings of drug-related issues when making their decisions back then?

The drug thing makes him a no, but as a player he is a solid 3-4 DE. Not sure that is worth a 2nd rounder in this draft however

I'd rather have Jolly John, the famous used car guy from Saco, Maine. Is he still alive?

I'd rather have the Jolly Green Giant play DE for us.

    Ho-ho-ho ... green giant!

At least he's not facing a count of 2 to 20 years. LOL, I am amazed at what off the world dumb ideas these sportswriters come up with. "Hey guys let's throw a 2nd round pick away for a guy who might go to jail for a LONG time! At least he didn't kill dogs! He's just a druggie!"

I agree the off-field stuff makes him a tough sell. But based on pure play, he is worth a second rounder. The question is whether Jolley's problems were an isolated incident or an ongoing thing and whether he really faces jail time. Odds say the Pats stay away since he faces 20 years (although he will most likely get probabtion).

I do think there is a high probability that they use their second rounder on a RFA. Not a certainty, but a high probability.

I say no on Jolly but yes on Richard Marshall CB from Carolina if we cant land Bodden back. I am fine with Bodden-Butler at Cb but if Bodden leaves we need to replace him with someone other then a rookie.

I am really not a fan of our CB depth especially with the way the league is moving towards a passing league. Wheatley cant even get on the field and Wilhite was constantly burned on 3rd down. I know the 3rd-4th yr of a Cbs career is when they break out but do these guys have that ability. I think they are both huge question marks coming into camp.

Springs also was inactived for a few games this yr. If we lose Bodden do we go into the year with Butler-Rookie-Wilhite/Springs. That looks so weak.

    Thoughts?
