Is it fair to blame Joe Judge for Special Teams miscues since being hired?

OK, so coaches don't decide who they play and who they don't. If Judge is at home for the game I guess we are all wrong. We are under the impression that Judge runs the Special teams during the game. You are saying that Belichick forced Judge to play Jones, and forced Judge to allow Jones to actually touch the ball as a punter, instead of just being a decoy. Ina addition, you are saying that Judge could not decide BEFORE the game that Jones is not ready as a punt returner, and that this is belichick's decision.

IMHO, it is coaching to decide who plays. It is coaching to decide formations. It is coaching that develops returners. It is coaching that evaluates players. IMHO, to judge Jones as being the best choice is a coaching decision. Yes, Chung and Edleman could have been back there, both calling for fair catches.
You are arguing against something that was made up and called a fact. We honestly don't know what level of input assistant coaches or coordinators have in playing time decisions, other than the common sense that position coaches and coordinators have this responsibility, as delegated by BB, and as HC he can overrule anything he wants.
I mean it was Brian Flores who said "Malcolm go" in SB, so unless BB is channeling his mind and voice through Flores, it would seem we have some evidence that says assistant coaches are involved in who plays.

It doesn't matter if they are ranked first. It is a coaching issue to coach a player to not let a punt hit him.
Coaches are supposed to coach effectively not say it's not my fault I told him not to do that.

So in your estimation coaches have zero responsibility to prevent players from making mistakes. That is simply wrong.

Belichicks assistants and coordinators (which judge is) have significant input into decisions about who plays.

Simply wrong.

Even the guy emptying the wastebaskets at Gillete knows that BB controls everything about the Patriots.

If you are going to take that ignorant of an approach to posting why bother?

Its the only way to get through to you

I guess you think the coach responsible for coaching jones what to do when a punt is rolling around on the ground did it well. I don't.
Whether or not he dies everything else really well or really poorly he has accountability in this. He would tell you that himself.
.
If the Pats replace Jones with a player like Almendola who doesnt fumble then the problem is not Judge.

Who said "Malcolm Go"
Look no one is saying that Belichick isn't hands on and involved in anything but to suggest his special teams coordinator has no responsibility for who is put on the field is obtuse. You can't believe that can you?

No, its the only way to be stubborn, and be wrong without listening to something you could learn from.

Judge's job is to coach. Jones made a mistake that coaching is designed to eliminate. That is indisputable.
If you ask Bill Belichick if Judge is supposed to coach Jones to stay away from that ball, do you think he would say no? Do you think that Belichick coaches things that don't get done on the field? How do you suppose he deals with that? Blame the player and say coaching doesn't matter? Of course not, he coaches harder.

Judges job wasn't to coach Amendola on that play, it was to coach Jones.

Belichick has always determined who plays and who does not.

He held Welker out after he shot his mouth off about Rex even though the Pats were better with him playing. Ridley. Belichick is not going to allow an under performing player to make the whole team lose. It is simply ridiculous to think that Belichick hasnt been monitoring the situation at punt returner with Almendola out.
