I'm rooting for LoMo to have a great comeback season. Who's with me?

I expect him to have a solid year, not to spectacular, because of the HB rotation, but he'll show he can be an effective runner.

I too hope Mr. Glass has a good season. As one reader commented it would be nice to see the Pats develop him as a Faulk successor by incorporating him into the passing game. Perhaps by getting him the ball in front of the line of scrimmage instead of behind it he could use his speed and juking ability to make something happen. As I recall watching him last year reminded me of a former Patriot - and not in a good way.... Marion Butts. Hits the line of scrimmage and gains a yard in a pile of dust.

If he could even SNIFF anything near 900 or 1,000 yards consider that a success

Hope he has a big year but not counting on it. I'd like to see a better downhill runner like we had during successful years. Sammy Moris is a better downhill runner but as much as I love Sammy, we could do better in that department.

I was stoked the day the Pats drafted this guy and thought he was going to be a star from day one. Unfortunately, he can't shake the injury bug. I hope he pulls a DeAngelo Williams (who wasn't doing too well himself until this season).

Even if he's not the RB everyone wanted him to be, he is still valuable to the team when healthy. Maybe he sould be used more on KO returns, I remember his havig a few good ones.

I really think the time off and reflection will prove to be good for him. I know some people say he's made of glass, a bust, or whatever, but I'm going to head into the season optimistic.

Here's to LoMo and a comeback year!

I agree. I have high hopes for him. But I did going into this season as well. His 2007 was very underrated. When Stephen Neal is out, the run blocking suffers tremendously. As long as he's in there, then Maroney has the opportunity to play well.

Of course, all that optimism considered - it is put up or shut up time in some sense that he has to take that next step. He was on the verge of becoming a premiere back in this league after the 2007 season - I think its time for him to take that leap given the investment of a mid first rounder in him.

I see him having a 1,200+ yard season if he stays healthy. Which is a huge if.

With the work he's had to have done (reportedly) on his shoulders, I'm hoping this isn't a Kendrick Perkins situation.

Come bcak from what? The guy has been a B-U-S-T since Day 1. Let's all just agree to this already and move on from this guy. Good lord.

I've given up on expecting him to be healthy, 2 seasons of atleast 1/4th of the season missed doesn't give me confidence.

That said, he's very talented and if healthy should run through defenses. Playing this offense is like playing the Colts, you're so dedicated to shutting down the pass the RB should have 4 yard pops all day easily. Maroney just needs to hit the damn hole like he jumped through the SUV window on that commercial :D

Maroney needs to take a page out of Cassel who many here like me thought he was getting cut early

The only thing is I really don't think this one will change our minds like Matt did - I think Maroney was a superb COLLEGE athlete but looks to be a so-so and part time runner in the pros,we will see in 8 months from now if it holds up

Maroneys last chance to prove he is worthy like Matt did ... or he is a piece of sh!t like Chad Jackson proved
