I have a question. Why is everyone so hot to trot about moving up when the players that everyone agrees are good secondary players weren't drafted anywhere near the top of the 1st round to begin with?
Samuel
Harrison (yes it was an UFA for NE, but SD certainly got some good value)
Law
Milloy
On a lesser note
Hobbs - people were high on him last year. His broken arm has cooled things a little, but he will prove to be good IMHO
Wilson - yes he has declined in recent years, but he was borderline PBer his first couple seasons
Good to great players are drafted after the top 10 every year, and NE has proven to be pretty good at mining gold. Why are so many people desirous of eliminating two likely very good players along with shrinking the available cap space for signings like this offseason?
I will certainly eat some crow if NE does in fact jump up, but I sincerely doubt it will happen.
