This Yahoo Sports article nails it. You know, every year the NFL Competition Committee meets after the Super Bowl, figures out how the Patriots have outwitted the other dimwitted teams in the prior NFL season, and creates new anti-Patriots rules (e.g., can't touch wide receivers, can't substitute players, etc., etc.). Now they've figured out the ultimate solution: just get rid of Tom Brady and the Patriots as an organization so other teams can have a chance at the spotlight. If MLB did to the Yankees what the NFL has been systematically doing to the Patriots the past decade then the 1930s-50s would have looked very different. Hell, maybe the Cubs might have won a World Series! Unless Goodell is out the door within three months and this farce of a non-issue is reversed, no more NFL for JJP.
Apparently the goal must be to have the type of league where teams like the perpetually loser New Jersey J-E-T-S can compete for a championship. Just administratively attack the legitimate championship team until it's a shell of itself. Nice. If that isn't the kind of league you don't want to watch or pay attention to, I don't know what is. I hope TB12 and Kraft take the entire league down. What should have been a quiet, quick telephone call from the league office to Foxborough instead has become an international fiasco. If I were Tommy, I would be licking my chops at the prospect of taking the "Wells Report" to court. It would be a complete meltdown for the NFL. That I WILL pay attention to, I assure you. JJP
