From PFT:
Ex-Panther Brad Hoover still believes the Patriots cheated
So all those halftime adjustments allowed the Panthers to score ZERO POINTS in the third quarter. In fact, the Panthers had 11 total yards in the 3rd quarter. Awesome halftime adjustments.
What happened was Eugene Wilson and Rodney Harrison both went out with injuries and then the Panthers started to move the ball.
Also, the Panthers put 10 points on the board in the first half and 19 points on the board in the second half. A lot more points in the second half is a bit of spin. It was 9 more points in the second half than the first half.
Hoover said the Panthers were shocked by the way the Patriots knew their offense in the first half, and so they made wholesale changes at halftime, and in the second half the Patriots didn’t know what was coming.
“At halftime, we changed our whole offensive game plan, and that’s one of the advantages of having that long intermission,” Hoover said. “How did they know what we were doing? The play in the second half was a lot different. We were able to put a lot more points on the board and I think that’s a part of it.”
