Patriots | Poole released
Thu, 16 Mar 2006 10:02:36 -0800

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports New England Patriots CB Tyrone Poole has been released from the team. His release saves the Patriots a little over $2 million in salary cap space.

Interesting that the Patriots waited till the last hour before releasing Poole - when most of the big contracts are gone. Is there a message to Poole there ?

Hopefully there was because at times he was a complete a-hole to the team and its staff.

His $500 k roster bonus was due tomorrow, according to Dan Roche.
