No stat to back that up.
A valid point on his body catches. I don't consider him to have natural hands, so he'll need to work on his hand catching more in the off-season, he'll also have to work on being a prime target because the defense is keying on a #1 receiver, and Ben can't curl up after a catch the way a smurf WR could.Let me ask another question. How many TE make all the WR type jumping high catches which ben is seen catching during these drops ?.Not many.
i notiece that most of his drops have come from high catches which are more suitable for a WR then a TE and also he needs to trust his hands instead its freaking hits the pads and bounces off.basics !!!

I laughed myself sillier last season when they were making a big deal over Chambers All-Pro potential. You watch him drop pass after pass and realize the clown's true potential is game killer. The worst receiver in the league at body-catching is Chris Chambers.
I agree about the body catching with the TEs. It is one of the reasons that they make spectacular catches like both Graham and Watson made in the Chicago game, and they can't handle a simple one right in the numbers.

Circus rings a bell alright! There was a play during the Lions game where Chambers did a very good job and getting late seperation and then he leaped high in the air to body catch the pass. It bounced around in his arms as he fell and he was lucky to hold onto the thing. Any true all-pro WR would have plucked the ball out of the air and gained another 5-10 yards.
Of course the announcers made it sound as if it was this great circus catch.

Dang Biggie, this doesn't help your evaluation scores.I'd take Chambers on the Pats.
