LB Hole

Kameron Wimberley

DB Hole
Richard Marshall
Ashton Youboty

OL Depth
Darryn Colledge

WR Hole/Depth
Maurice Stovall
Mike Haas

RB Depth
Abdul Hodge
Maurice Drew

DL Depth

I think if we get any 5 of these 10 they won't let the pats draft next year! :)
What do I get when I win? ;)

You get some serious props if Hodge is drafted as a RB. I don't think anybody has predicted that position switch.

Hodge the RB

Yeah, I was trying to pick 2 players for the positions I think they need most, but I liked Hodge so much I wanted him on the list... Just put him in the wrong place from a brain fart. You know what though, I am just gonna leave 'em right there since it actually sounds like a great idea. Pats draft three LB's but use one in the short yardage role while he learns the system. After Sam Gash left I wanted them to use Ted Johnson as the fullback for short yardage.. MONSTER!

Hodge - from NFL draft countdown
"Very quick and athletic...Hits like a ton of bricks...Sure tackler...Has been very productive throughout his career...Has great instincts...Very strong...Hard worker with top intangibles...Gravitates toward the action and seems to always be in the mix...Displays solid technique...Thumper in the middle...Smart and a team leader"
sounds like a fullback to me.. :)

Joe
PS I think I am allowed a little slack for 2 reasons
1. I am new to posting :p
2. I have 10 week old twin boys and am completely sleep deprived. :D

Let's see, Living in Malaysia I haven’t watched any college football games so I can try to guess the draft picks by 1) looking at "expert" opinions, 2) reviewing the "Build your draft board" threads here and/or 3) looking at a list of the top 200 or so draft picks and randomly picking numbers (maybe after taking out the top 15 or so picks). Option #3 would probably give me just as much of a chance at winning this contest, but is not as fun. I chose option #2 with some help from www.nfldraftcountdown.com rankings and player profiles. At least this way I can pretend to know something about the Pats draft board for another two weeks.

Here goes (in no particular order) ---

1. Chad Greenway (LB)
2. Bobby Carpenter (LB)
3. David Pittman (CB)
4. Tim McGarigle (LB)
5. Mike Kudla (LB)
6. Jerious Norwood (RB)
7. Maurice Drew (RB)
8. Mike Hass (WR)
9. David Thomas (TE)
10. Jonathan Scott (OL)

NOT in order:
David Thomas
Jerald Riggs Jr
Jerious Norwood
Antonio Cromartie
Chad Greenway
Bobby Carpenter
Kai Parham
Chris Gocong
Mike Hass
Jon Alston

Ya know, with the right trade down, we could have almost all of these!:D

don't know which players but i am predicting a lot of trading

cromartie
carpenter
nick mangold
marcus mcneil
addai
martin nance
darnell bing
greg jennings
mike hass
maurice stovall

I think I had none last year

I was convinced we'd take a CB at #32 (Corey Webster, Marlin Jackson), and then we went and took OL. I also liked Mark Clayton (who the Pats tried to trade up for). Others that I liked were Barret Ruud, Demarcus Ware, Matt Roth, Dan Cody... basically a lot of good players that are playing elsewhere.

So, I'm very suspicious of this Challenge. The fact that I'm sold on LB in the first is a giveaway, because I was convinced we'd go CB last year-- and that was a bust.

I'm casting my net wide, this year. Here's my Top-10 list:

LB Bobby Carpenter
LB Mark Anderson
LB Mathias Kiwanuka
SS Jon Alston
CB Richard Marshall
WR Adam Jennings
WR Greg Jennings
TE Anthony Fasano
K Ben Jones
K Stephen Gostkowski

Honorable mention, my next 10:

LB Roger McIntosh
LB Thomas Howard
LB AJ Nicholson
LB Tim McGarigle
WR Brandon Williams
SS Pat Watkins
TE Garrett Mills
TE Cooper Wallace
OC Greg Eslinger
OL Chris Chester

Hey, I just noticed. We can only pick 10, but the Pats have 11 picks! I had to drop Huston.

In no particular order:

Abdul Hodge
Joseph Addai:singing:
Manny Lawson
Richard Marshall
Mike Hass :rocker:
Jason Avant
Chric Gocong
Bobby Carpenter
Chad Greenway
Whitworth (T) LSU

Here goes, based on draft sites (I don't get to watch college football)

Richard Marshall
Manny Lawson
De Meco Ryans (small, but great in many other respects)
Leon Williams, LB, Miami as a "potential" pick
Patrick Ross, C, Boston College- not that we have had much success with BC centres. :D
Jeremy Trueblood
Greg Eslinger
Brian Calhoun (another Kevin Faulk?)
Maurice Drew

Can't see anything I like at receiver. I'll leave it to the Pats' scouts to pick the next David Givens.
