Washington takes G Eric Cook with the pick they got from the Pats.

Yeah my bad. Carolina, Jacksonville sheesh!:D

on a side note, Reggie Stevens from Iowa State just went. My college. Did not think anyone from there was getting drafted

What did the Pats give up to move up in the 7th? Their 2011 7th? It's such a miniscule move in such a late round.

So who do you guys want to see taken in the 7th?

Guys still on my list:

QB: Jarrett Brown, Ryan Perriloux
RB: LeGarrette Blount, Stafon Johnson, Brandon James, Roy Upchurch, Chris Brown, Andre Dixon, Michael Smith
WR: Brandon Banks
OT: Selvish Capers
DL: Vince Oghobaase
DE/OLB: Brandon Lang
ILB: Micah Johnson
CB: Chris Hawkins, Chris Chancellor, Marshay Green
S: Stephan Virgil

EDIT: Well there goes Capers.

Selvish Capers finally off the board.

Selvish Capers just got taken by Washington...

The 229 and 231 picks

The Redskins might have gotten a huge bargain with Selvish Capers in the 7th. Looks like the Pats liked Welch better than Capers though. We'll see who's right down the road. 32 teams passed on both players at least 6 times. :)

The 229 and 231 picks

Wow they must really like Welch to give up 2 for 1 in the same round.

Their two tradeable 7ths for one. Hell, it was the top pick in the round.

The 2 non-comp picks of their 5 7th rounders this year...

I think Deaderick or Lissemore would have a chance to make the roster at 3-4 DE. QBs are interesting here, too. At WR, Danario Alexander.

Pats twitter account lists the 2011 picks 2 1sts (ours and Oak), 2 2nds(ours and car) and 2 6ths , as well as one in each other round..
If true where did the extra 6th come from?

Jim Dray is a tremendous blocker.

Agreed. A DE or QB could actually make the 53.

Or maybe a guy with size, speed, and a sick vertical? :confused2:

I believe that's a 2011 7 for Dave Thomas, unless the trade was conditional or something. . . .

Does anybody understand Corey Chavuous' argument against a rookie wage scale??? He feels if the rookies get less, the vets will get less when convnetional wisdom is that the vets will get more, like the NBA..
