After all, 8 + 1 adds up to 9 just as good as 1 + 8.
 
he had number 8 in college not 9. That's why he has 17. 1 + 7 = 8. However, taking 81 is a possibility.

No actually 17 looks pretty ****** stupid! Way to take a number that goes to a QB. This taking stupid numbers is really getting old like Bush wanting to wear 5. WTF? This isn't college **** face! Hey Chad Jackson, take a number in the 80's...
 
17 Baby. Second tightest number on the team. Just behind 39.

LOL somebody has some anger issues. It's not like Chad Jackson petitioned to get #8 ala Bush. He took a number that by LEAGUE RULES is now allowed for wide receivers. You need to calm down man. 17 is TIGHT just like 39! :p
