Unfortunately, those 10 free #2 picks wind up being Butler, Brace, Chad Jackson, Terrence Wheatly, Jermaine Cunningham, etc.

He did hit home runs in the 2nd with Wes Welker (trade), Vollmer & Gronkowski.

FAIL.

1 ~ Chad Jackson had nothing to do with those "10 Free Picks." Try again.

2 ~ HOW Mad Bill did with those ~ or any other ~ Picks is a completely different subject.

Perhaps you should try reading before posting.

Who's to say he won't hit on his next 10 2nd round picks?

His great success from 2001-2005 did not guarantee future success, and his later, poorer drafts, using the same draft method, don't guarantee future failure. As always, the point is to pick the right players.

I'd like to know the hit rate of 2nd round picks for any other GM. Doubt if it exceeds 50%.

Great thread and posts.......I am sure this link is in another thread somewhere -but in case you missed it - here is one of the best analysis I have ever read about NEP draft (and trading ) strategy on ESPN (NOT insider content !):
It mentions just about all the things we have talked about in this thread.
