Has anyone else read this crap? My opinion of Rodney Harrison has completely changed. He is either has something against Brady or is just a complete moron. I have absolutely no problem if someone thinks Mannng is better then Brady. Everyone if entitled to one and hey, Manning is a great QB. But look at what Harrison has to say about it.
"I think Peyton has been so unfairly judged," Harrison explained, "because he didn't really have that great defense over the years like Tom. Tom had a lot of veteran players, a lot of really good defenses where if he didn't play particularly well, he knew that he had a defense with a lot of veteran players that could save him, whereas Peyton really didn't have that advantage. If Peyton was on our team, I think we could have easily won three Super Bowls, no doubt about it."
Manning went to the playoffs 10 times with the Colts. In 5 of those he had a defense ranked in the top 8 overall for that particular season, including a 2nd and 1st overall. So 50% of the time Manning had a good to great defense.
And look at Mannings lone SB victory. We all know how he played. 3 tds, 7 ints and a 70 rating. And then look at how the Colts defense played in those playoffs. 12.75 ppg and 12 takeaways. Does Manning win a SB if his defense does not play that good?
And maybe Rodney forgets about 2003. Maybe Rodney can explain to us how HE (and the other veterens defensive players) "saved" him when they let up 19 4th qtr points to Jake Delhomne and the Panthers in SB 38. It was more like Brady saved his defense by leading the offense to 18 4th qtr points.
