Bill Polian on Bill Belichick

I have to put Paul Brown in there too-- 7 championships & so many innovations.

first coach to
- use game film to scout opponents,
-hire a full-time staff of assistant coaches
-use a written playbook
-use a practice squad
-use many of the common plays now in everyone's playbook
-ignore race in player selection

Yes, without question. I was thinking about the super-bowl area and only included Lombardi because of his 2 super-bowls.

Actually, all time, I would probably include Brown over lombardi, because I think he did more, as you mentioned, for the game.

I am also a huge Otto Graham guy and consider him 2nd behind brady as the best ever.

I'd still have a hard time not punching him in the face, but now I'd probably not spit on him as well.

Shall we forward this to the self-annointed moral arbiter of the universe, Tony Dungy?

I don't care what he said. Screw him. Just a few months ago he was taking underhanded digs at the Patriots on NFL Insiders on ESPN. Something along the lines of "We won it the right way". Nah ya didn't Polian. Ya cheated with fake crowd noise and turning up the heat in the stadium.

Screw Polian. Scumbag for life.

So all those years he was obsessed with beating the Patriots he never watched film on them? Hmm.

Um, is the next sentence saying Brady benefitted by having the best coach so obviously Peyton is better. :)

When he concedes that Brady is better than Peyton, and fully deserving of being in the G.O.A.T. discussion, get back to me.

Polian is much more heavily invested in Peyton than in any of his coaches.

His Hall of Fame invite has done something to his brain. I demand a cat scan.

Maybe one question to pose him is: Who would you have liked to see get in the Hall before yourself?

I'm *very* ignorant as to his career, but, even in my ignorance, his induction leaves a feeling someone else probably deserved it more.
