I've been reading and enjoying this guy's work down there for the past couple of years.

This is the one the Globe should be looking towards to fill in the Borges spot.

Yep, I have to agree. Or if he wants to leave Dallas, that guy who writes for the Dallas Morning News (?) Of course, if he's writing about football, Texas is probably one of of the best places to be, particularly Big D.

Just the fact that Pats fans routinely read the august publication Jaguars.com is an incredible testament to Ketchman! Interesting, too, that such outspoken commentary is published on an official team website. I wonder whether the rumblings of the league trying to assert greater control over team sites might make his job less attractive? Hint, hint Vic?

Anybody know anything about his background? Vic Ketchman is such a classic old-school sportswriter name.

From reading his column, it would seem he's in Florida to pal around with his age group. He talks about covering the old Steel Curtain so I don't see a move from Jax to snowy downtown Boston anytime soon. We'll just enjoy the internet's all encompassing reach and let Vic enjoy his sunshine.

Makes sense. Jax is a pretty cushy beat -- nice town and cheap living.
