The 49ers are looking to trade the rights to OT Anthony Davis....He is signed till 19 at a team friendly price...16 3.65 m 17 5 m 18 6.375 m 19 6.375 m ...Just off of a 1 yr retirement...Only 26... former 1st rd pick....

What do we trade to get him?

Could see it costing us a second rounder if others are interested (likely) that Davis would be willing to work with...and that would still be a great value for a position of need...

Well the problem is it is impossible to know how committed he is. I do know BB hates player who decide for themselves when they should and shouldn't play so i doubt he bites.

Well, you dont trade players if you are worried about that, and can make a Future Pick conditional to cover that anxiety too. Interviewing-workout i guess you cant do if he is still considered under contract, but the Schiano thing is a good route for insight or a 3d party phonecall/interview

Not quite sure I'd give up a 2nd rounder for someone who's been out of the league like that, but I'd be willing to take a chance by parting with a 3rd.

Why do the Niners want to trade him? Do they think they have the position covered?

Too high of a pick.

A 5th, maybe a 4th seems more in line for a guy who has been out of football for a year.

Bill really needs to look into this. I can just imagine what scar would do with the guy. I would give them a 3rd rounder.
