He's more schlimazel than schlamiel. That's what I think. They made him play on a broken foot.
Perfect use of those two terms- - shmessy approves!

Tom Curran's sidekick, I think.
No Aaron Dropson thread is complete without these 2 words: Keenan, and Allen.
Edelman was almost never a healthy scratch
I am often wrong (I certainly was on Edelman), but last year I was flamed because throughout the season, I reiterated my educated guess that Dobson's benching was due to his play and not his injury, and that the coaches had essentially decided he shouldn't be in the lineup, even if LaFell were to get injured. I believe I was correct about that.
Dobson has more talent and physical ability. Thats it.Can anyone explain why we let go of Thompkins but kept Dobson? Was it money, or locker room/off the field stuff, because IMO it certainly wasn't production or accountability... Still baffled about that one.
I have zero interest in Percy Harvin.Dobson, DGB,Lafell,Gronk, on the field heck of a goal line package.
If we signed Harvin that would be a incredibly flexible piece as well.
We've handled those before. I think it's worth a look if he's cheap. Could do some big things in the backfield. Soon as he causes trouble you give him da boot. Don't see what the issue is.I have zero interest in Percy Harvin.
That dude is a locker room menace.
I have no idea what to make of Dobson or how to project his future. Dobson's rookie year was, as you say, productive considering the amount he played. You would think he would be the ideal LaFell backup. A cheaper version of a similarly big receiver who can get open on similar routes. If someone wants to say Dobson should be a deep threat, sure, that's gravy to me. I just want another receiver on the roster who can step in if LaFell gets hurt. Can Dobson be it? He has to be healthy first, but I hope so.
Reiss relayed that there was concern about Dobson's compete level so we shall see if thats the case.

Well, I do continue to have hope for him - but what concerns me is my inability to think of players with comparable first two years who went on to get better.
