Pretty sure @long distance was referring to the Pats needing to make a move when they activate Jacoby Brissett tomorrow. It will be very interesting to see what the move is..

Will it be someone to the IR or someone cut?

IR candidates include Amendola (which would put a whole other perspective on the claiming of Floyd) or Jordan Richards.

Actually referring to “report“ that Pats are bringing JB to 53.
Id prefer the report was wrong and they put him back on IR thus no other moves.
Most of all hope for no moves with Danny.

The coaches really must like this kid a lot. The whole time he's been on IR, he's been traveling with the team. And there's plenty of depth at the QB position (with an experienced, third-year Jimmy G backing up TB12) so that tell us that the Patriots have long-term plans for Brissett.

Yep -- if you're looking at JB as your backup for next season, you want him back on that practice field. IR is a nightmare for a young player's development.

If they can clinch seed#1 before week 17 (and the Broncos are already eliminated so that we don't have to fake trying to win against the Phins), JB deserves to play at least in the fourth quarter. Brady could start and play a couple drives just to stay in rhythm for the PO and Jimmy G could play, say QT2 & 3, for what might be New England's last opportunity to showcase him before a trade. JB deserves to get a chance to put the nightmare broken thumb game behind him and end his rookie season on a good note. He definitely deserves to kneel down for a win.

Jacoby Brissett is returning to practice today, meaning that he will be the Patriots’ player to be designated for return from the injured reserve list (Twitter link via Ben Volin of The Boston Globe). Cyrus Jones has fumbled 5 times on 18 return attempts. (10 PR + 8 KR) 28%

Just some food for thought. The average fumble rate for those who return both KR and PR looks to be about 5%.
