Nikita Whitlock (see post above), did 43 reps at his pro day. Strong guy to have at FB. Might also work as a backup DE (played DT at college but is only 5'11"and 260lbs. He did have an impressive 6.90 3cone.

I don't really know if he fits our scheme or not, but it's a positive sign that the DE depth is a priority.

A little bit more info on Brock Coyle who we met with the same time as Jordan Tripp and is another Montana linebacker.

Coyle (6-foot 3/4, 235 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.60 and 4.64. He had a 37-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-7 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.28 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.74 seconds. Coyle — who has 32 1/2-inch arms — did 25 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Another linebacker. From Western Kentucky.

Underrated linebacker Xavius Boyd, whom many thought was a combine snub, posted forty times in the high 4.6/low 4.7 range and touched 32 inches on the vertical jump at 240 pounds. I'm told the New England Patriots will be working Boyd out next week
