please note very carefully, how all the mediots are focussing on how the colts will stop the pats.......... thats the story here........ they wont

Hey everything is cool, I'm just offering my perspective on King for your benefit. Considering everything he offered was ......... already known by everyone !
Really?? Gee..were you at the Colts practices?? Missed that post...sorry...

What I thought was unbelievable about the King report was that he stated he had seen the Colts doing this a lot in practice, not that he "thought" it would happen.

He specifically said that Sanders would be playing on the line and would be blitzing from the line a lot.

I think thats awful gameplanning by the Colts if thats the case. If they are only going to drop one safety all game bomb it every time. The Pats like to throw out of max protect anyways.
He did say that...what HE SAW...but who knows if that is really what teh Colts will do...or what they wished to show Mr King... Frankly, I hope they do that..they will get pounded with lots of bombs!! I just thought it was interesting that THAt was ALL he said in this segment..sort of a King NFL update...

The silliness of this whole report aside...Gee the Pats and Brady have never seen a safety blitz before? Even if Dingy has dreamed up some exotic blitz package that BB has never schemed against (highly unlikely); how long do you think it will ttake BB to suss out and counteract *anything* the Colts throw at them? I'd say about 1 series of downs.

Just caught a bit of what he said in teh Halftime of the College Game...He implied that the Colts were going to do something to confuse Brady and then mentioned that Maybe Sanders would be playing up in the box more...so he could blitz and cause problems. I HOPE they do that and see teh wideouts running wild..take out a DB and see how the Wrs fare..maybe MORE points than I though.

I think that in all fairness Peter King despises the Patriots......If he thinks that the colts will do things to CONFUSE Brady tomorrow.....Hoe ought to be awed at what BB will bring out for Pay-a-ton. Let's be honest.....the Pats OUTPLAYED THE DOLTS for THREE quarters in the AFC championship and were quite honestly the BETTER team........Now a few cheap ***** penalties, and the fact that indeed, our guys did run out of gas (Flu, heat turned up in the dome etc).....and the colts advance.....But the fact remains that our team was the better team last year.....NOW........we come to this year....and the Pats have clearly IMPROVED this year.........What have the Colts done to improve? I see a slightly better defense but one that has been EXPLOITED all year.....and one that could have been exploited MORE had the competition been tougher...in all seriousness I stick to my original prediction that the Pats will win this game by at least 14 points (but of course I will take a win by 1) Pats are clearly the better team unless something goes awry!.....GO PATS!

I'm concerned about the Pats because I'm not sure they will be ready for Sanders to play up and this will confuse the Pats.

Meanwhile, the Colts could try to have the DEs rush the QB. This will surprise the Pats too.

And what if the Colts do something crazy on offense, like run a no-huddle? The defense will not know what to do.

I see the Pats being very confused and unprepared for all the wrinkles Indy will use.

I don't know what the Colts have for S depth. Maybe they try Sanders at NB...hope they can stop the run with 7 if he's one of them.

I agree. this is only Belichick's 2nd game in the NFL.

He will be confused and unprepared.

This is also my biggest fear about the game; the Pats are going to be totally unprepared, as usual.

Please tell me this is sarcasm.

My understanding is that the Colts had nothing but closed practices this week, so unless King has a mole in the locker room, he's just talking out of his muffin-maker, as usual!

Muffin Maker? Does Wal-mart sell those?

I'm sorry, I don't buy it at all. If you want too that's cool ! If you don't like what I say, just don't read it. To show a reporter your game plan before a game, I don't buy it, anyway's, no offense, it's nothing new ! They've been blitzing Sanders all year, nothing else has stopped Brady, might as well try doing it more.

how many times do the colts blitz really. ?
Almost never, so why start a big blitz campaign against a QB whos passer rating against the blitz is 149.

King is a moron to suggest it, and Colts fans are morons to believe it.

Bingo !! We have Bingo!!!

"This is Peter King. Today Tony Dungy messaged me on my cell during a break in practice to let me know that he has enlisted the aid of his old friend Herm Edwards and has a secret new strategy to beat the Patriots: The Colts intend to 'play to win the game'."

Sanders coming up to the line showing blitz?

How many opportunities does that scenario present???

In a long litany of dumb things from Peter King, this is without question the dumbest.

Almost makes me wish I had majored in journalism.

Almost....

All I could think of when I read the initial post was, "Sanders in the box, boy, that would be a shock. BB would never think to prepare for that."

Peter King's time at the top of the game has passed. He gives us nothing new and nothing interesting anymore. Jess, are more likely to get more interesting stuff from Florio at PFT, and HE's doing it part time between RE closings
