You ready to actually back any of that BS up yet, or is it back to ignore for you?
This isn't 1982 where they run Neilsen samplings to a small percentage of households and that's that. We all have smart boxes now. Your TV knows what you watch, sends that data to your cable/satellite provider, and they use predictive modeling to try and figure out what else you might want to watch. Your data is tracked is ways you couldn't even possibly imagine.

Audience measurement - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sightcorp, TruMedia, Quividi, relEYEble, stickyPiXEL, Cognitec, goCount and CognoVision provide real-time audience data including size, attention span and demographics by using video analytics technology to automatically detect, track and classify viewers watching digital displays. Networked Insights measures online audiences, and released a report ranking television shows, based on people's interactions within social media. The study showed that half of the shows on Networked Insights' top 10 list did not appear on the Nielsen Media Research (NMR) list.

So Brady is wrong, selfish and unfair for fighting something that's been wrong, selfish and unfair since Day 1? And it's apparently because there are things going on in the world? Aren't there always things going on in the world? I mean I'm sure there had to be something happening when Goodell appealed after Berman's decision, no? Okay. I think I understand now. Got it.

You see Mr. Joker, there are 3 types of people in this world:

****s (Tom Brady), ****ies (Robert Kraft), and assholes (Roger Goodell). ****ies think everyone can get along, and ****s just want to f*ck all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your assholes, Mr. Joker. And all the assholes want us to **** all over everything! So, ****ies may get mad at ****s once in a while, because ****ies get f*cked by ****s. But ****s also f*ck assholes, Mr. Joker. And if they didn't f*ck the assholes, you know what you'd get? You'd get your **** and your ****y all covered in ****!
Can't be mad at a great Team America reference.

I've been here 14 months and have half as many positive ratings as you, and you've been here almost 8 years. So obviously some people think some of the things I have said make a lot of sense. In fact, the only people in the football forums that have any problem with me are the people who say stupid things like the Patriots should forfeit 4 games or Tom Brady is guilty and got what he deserved or Tom Brady should drop further appeals (and other assorted moronic statements of that like). The rest of those threads are just political disagreements, which falls on partisan lines.

You're choosing to pick fights on a pretty consistent basis, and that blows because I used to enjoy reading your thoughts. You're obviously a very intelligent poster.

I understand what you're saying about engaging in controversial topics, but there's no need for childish name calling or baiting others, particularly with well respected posters who have been here for awhile. I counted at least 4-5 pissing matches you were involved in that were here in the main forum (no politics), and that was just last weekend. Seeing the plethora of links in other forums drives that point home even more. You're too damn argumentative, man. Relax. :)

Here's hoping that we can bring you back to your former self. I think you have some good football knowledge to share with us.

That's real colorful commentary there, but I wouldn't classify Brady as a "****" the way you describe it.

First of all, after staring at Chiuba's photo, I do not remember what we're talking about, but I might even consider it in favor of Pat Patriot as our official logo...

Uh, let's see...oh: don't give up on the SJC. Yes, under CBA one may have total authority to make disciplinary decisions; however that does not license having a player shot for no reason in order to demonize a team.

You know what is great about team America? As I was first watching, I was thinking "wow, these guys cause more damage than those they are trying to stop.". Right after I thought that, bystanders in movie started saying pretty much the same thing. As silly and gross as the movie was, it was a clever parody that was actually very insightful. That movie is underrated by far too many people.

I think it's high time for a good, old-fashioned bar fight.

Emotions - especially including mine - are certainly running high today because of how upsetting this decision was, and they are perhaps being demonstrated in unfair manners and I will try to do a better job of focusing my rage at the appropriate parties; i.e. the league office and not other Patriots fans.

I think we can all learn something from this kind of thinking. Good stuff, man. Looking forward to getting back into some good football convo with you.

Either the pro shop stops paying Ian or Ian goes under first. Its an ecosystem that is impacted without being directly impacted.

That's irrelevant!!!! They are paying him!!!!! What about that don't you get?

Let me clear this one up. The ProShop doesn't pay us. The deal I made with the ProShop was/is a trade where in exchange for having their links at the top of the board, they agreed to ship a T-shirt package to people who donated to the site because I wasn't comfortable taking people's money without being able to give them something in return. The deal went stagnant for a while over the last year and a half, but I recently worked on making sure we could do it again (and many of you should have gotten packages recently from what they told me) because ad revenue is way down due to ad blockers and I needed a little help, but I didn't want to ask for donations unless people could at least get something tangible for their $18.00.

So that's the story. I've been pretty transparent about this since we started, although I've been working recently on trying to put together a better system to keep track of it so people don't have to enter their info dozens of times and to make sure people receive them when they're supposed to.

But no, the ProShop doesn't pay us, whatever revenue we pull in is from the ads on here, which haven't been great this year so I've been trying to pare back to make this place run a little smoother and the new version of the forum will be lighter ad-wise. However, the fact the ProShop agreed to send those shirts out was big, so as long as they keep sending people who are helping us out T-shirts, I'm O.K. with that since those of you who helped out helped pay for some of the equipment upgrades that were done this offseason, which should hopefully prevent any issues this year moving forward. Believe me, every bit helps, so thank you.

Not a big surprise really.
At this point I've moved on from Deflategate.
Whatever Tom wants to do is fine. I just don't see the Supremes taking this case
unless another court rules on the AP case and puts the courts in conflict with one another on the issue of labor law and the power of the Commish.

Just in case you're not familiar, it's a legendary film on the level with Casablanca, Godfather, Big Lebowski and Ted...

Man.. un...****ing.... believable..

If this can happen to Brady, the rest of us peasants are totally ****ed and at the mercy of the powers that be.

What the hell does it take to get them to rehear a case then? You have a VERY shady arbitrator punishing Brady for something that science has proved his innocents on.. You have one of the worlds top supreme court lawyers... you have the Chief Judge Katzmann who filed a dissent letter, which is rarely done... you have multiple amicus briefs filed by insanely credible people/institutions, including the PATRIOTS who are literally on the opposite side of Brady in this case...

I mean.. what the ****? Our entire system of justice is a total joke.. its all about how much money you have and who you know.. the courts are just another mechanism to keep the peasants in line and away from the ruling oligarchy

I'm so angry about this.. it's completely destroyed any microcosm of confidence I might have once had in the judicial process

The sad fact of the matter is that in many ways, justice is a completely random process. The 3 appeals judges that ruled against Brady (by a 2-1 margin) were randomly selected. It is safe to assume that if the random selection process unfolded differently, there could easily have been a 2-1 decision for Brady, not against him.

It's almost as if they may as well have just flipped a coin. :(

The legal and social relevance and importance of this case is simple: When the employer's representative (Goodell) has full disciplinary authority, he still may not lynch an employee for being black. It is abuse of that power.

You don't understand the concept of an ecosystem. Ive explained it several times. Never mind.

I don't spend money on the NFL. Being on this site and posting does not promote the NFL or the Patriots nor does it result in any money in their coffers, directly or indirectly. Just watching the games does not result in money directly in their coffers either. Only doing so in a way that you can be counted as a viewer does that.

Fewer games, less enjoyment every year. When Brady and BB are done, I won't even be doing that.

Yes it does. When you talk about the Patriots or the NFL good/bad you are bringing attention and awareness to the brand, sport and team and helping drive - directly and indirectly to revenue to the ecosystem. Again, something you aren't comprehending.
