Well, that explains perfectly well your complete lack of understanding the charter an owner in the NFL is a part of.
He signed off on the CBA that allowed this to happen and didn't say a word while the Saints were getting screwed.
He is the same guy who bought the stadium when it was advantageous to to him....then he bought the team when it was advantageous to him....then he danced the stadium dance in a way that was advantageous to him. He hires BB with perfect timing (which may have had a bunch of luck)
He thought his 'savvy' from getting the CBA nailed down put him in an advantageous position. When deflategate happened, he overestimated himself and thought he could talk his way through that too, except he went in blind .... When he got his ass handed to him, he was still under the assumption that somehow his rhetoric will get him through it.....he got clobbered again and it was too late to do anything about it.
If anything, it proves that he has gotten to too old and too soft for anything that contentious and not a regular business deal.
I don't think he put anyone first....he tried to be everything to everyone and they just brushed him aside.
Don't be surprised if at some point when the whole thing is over that he steps aside and let's junior function as CEO
