Myers: Mike Maccagnan can't let Ryan Fitzpatrick leave Jets

I really believe, deep down, that the Jets should give another chance to Geno.

I'd rather he went back to the Jets than go to Denver. Hopefully he ends up going to LA and neither get him.

Forgive me, Brother Rover, but phunk that. I'm with Brother Froob on this one.

FitzPatrick, For Those Scoring At Home, would be an upgrade on the Chumps who lined up Under Center in Denver last Year. Why the **** would you want Denver to improve themselves???

I'd rather they got Kaepernick. Fitzgerald would be a stark improvement on either Manning or **** Brosweiler. Word is that Denver is the front runner to trade for the privilege or Kaepernick's services so, hopefully, my dreams come to fruition.

You are reading too much into my words, grasshopper.

Nowhere did I say I wanted Fitz to go to Denver... only that if he did, the prospect of Geno back under center for the Jets was not unpleasant.

Now...

...snatch the pebble from my hand.

Fitzgerald is not an upgrade over Osweiler. He's an average journeyman with a knack for throwing crucial interceptions and would be a stop-gap solution in Denver.

Kap stinks.

lets all hope the broncos sign that dink.

I didn't know Fitz was an option. If he is we seriously need to go after him. Brady would love having a guy like that to throw to. Great route runner, strong hands, wins the ball in the air and is smart enough to learn our system.

Actually I think he would be, in that it would set them up to do what they did last year, which is manage the game offensively while winning with what the defense creates. Fitzgerald wouldn't be great at it, by any means, but I think better than what they did this year.

And I agree, he'd be just a stop gap, to get them through the one or two years left of good defense they have with the current talent. Then, they start over on both sides of the ball.

Fitzgerald?? When did he join the Jets?

I don't think Fitzgerald in either place necessarily makes either team even a favorite to win their division. For the Broncos part, the Chiefs almost had them last year and Oakland is coming on, maybe not this year yet but soon. I certainly don't think the Jets will have improved enough, even keeping Fitz, to unseat NE in the AFCE.

I think Fitz is likely a better option for 2016 for each team than other options that appear to be available, and I know it's fun to laugh at the Jets but it's not like they're losing a franchise player here. I'm actually a little stunned by the restraint they've shown towards him thus fair and am concerned it could indicate positive growth.

When did Larry Fitzgerald become a QB for the Jets?

Fitzgerald...Fitzpatrick.....
Iceberg... Goldberg what's the difference?. (Old joke)

The 2015 numbers don't back your claim. In 2015, Fitzgerald's numbers were the best of the 3 QBs (Fitz/Brock/Peyton), despite being on the clearly inferior team.

Jets could sign Johnny Manziel - he just got released.
